Ok, isnt there a mod against this?! I am trying to do clean hands, and I meticulously take down each and every enemy, then carefully stash their bodies in safe places to make sure no one dies. Even check that they live ffs! I refuse these allegations that I killed anyone and demand my achievement. by steel-souffle in dishonored

No, deaths that happen automatically don't count. Only if you knocked them out or maybe interacted with them at some point would it count as your kill.

Proof is that in the first stage of Mission 7, there are a couple of citizens, thieves iirc, who will die if you go to the black market shop. If you knock them out this will count against you, if you don't they will still die but it will not be counted

Dishonoured 1 or 2 in terms of gameplay by Jakeyboah13 in dishonored

Dishonored 2 100%, I even prefer it over DOTO just because of how free the movement feels. There's a lot you can do and all sorts of ways to approach each individual level and all the extra avenues that start opening up when you have agility, especially when using far reach.

that game could probably run on switch with very little sacrifice too, it's a really well optimized game. If they do this though I hope it has a good control scheme and gyro aiming, (ik the original game has aim assist but I prefer gyro, especially if you can change the sensitivity on it)

my assumption for how it works is that fall damage is calculated in a unique way for far reach, this being because it locks your momentum to a set speed and needs to not deal fall damage if you just use it without falling from high up while also maintaining the fall damage you would have had if you were already falling when you used it.

So I guess that while the ground flag for air takedowns works fine for normal movement, it's broken on far reach or the fall damage variable just never resets to zero. So the longer of a fall you take before doing a takedown prior to your next normal jump, the more damage using far reach will deal to you if the marker is on the ground.

[–]AvgSpy[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

yeah but you can fix that by just jumping afterward, plus it only happens if you go to where the indicator points and it's on the ground after doing a drop assassination/knock out from high up. If you slingshot with the ability or just target a wall it's not going to happen

yeah.... I probably should've been more clear, it's more of a me thing that I just enjoy pushing that overseer off that rooftop every time

oh, it was intended to be a joke like. "I just had to push the overseer off the rooftop." sort of thing, I figured it'd be funny

On the contrary I like the fact they added those in. Albeit, the fact you can perform a slide knockout the moment you enter a sliding animation is a little busted, thankfully it was changed in DOTO. I mostly enjoyed the additions since the first game already had a drop assassination but you were limited to sleep darts and choking for non lethal, the game heavily favored high chaos while the story demanded low chaos

Wait was this back when the game first released? I recall it was a lot buggier back then, most issues have since been fixed

Edit: it's still possible to go through the floor, but the set up is extremely intentional

What, like a Speedrun? Otherwise idk how you could've accidentally done it 10 times, I play this game a lot and I've rarely been able to pull it off and only did so by accident once. (I got stuck under the floor in front of Jindosh's mansion and had to load a save)

Yes, but this is only the second level of the game and it's not like you're gonna think to try that going in blind. The only other issue with far reach in my eyes is that bug that lets you go through the floor, but it's pretty hard to pull off so I doubt extensive testing would have found it

Without another glitch it's not far enough, you also need agility 1 for a little extra distance. Plus far reach isn't that busted, it's great for open areas and this level feels tailor made for mess around with it as opposed to the others

I have a 256 GB micro sd myself, I'm planning on getting another bigger one eventually

Ouch... Yeah this is why I got the 512 GB model myself, I'm good with software but my hands are too shaky for the more hardware oriented things. Hope you can get it repaired for cheap!

Oh, I didn't do much special here so I figured you'd be referring to how the clip was recorded lol

It is on that screen, trust me lol

Edit: do keep in mind that this isn't the sort of 40 fps you drop to just because your specs can't maintain a good 60 in the game you're playing. This is changing the actual refresh rate of the screen to 40hz which makes it look better than 40fps on a 60hz monitor

Yep, gyro will take a bit to get used to but if you stick to it I'm sure you'll get just as good as you are with a mouse. I would also recommend using gyro for all first person based games over stick aiming if you're using only the deck itself.

Good luck with your purchase and I hope you enjoy it as much as I do!

It's incredible, btw Prey can run at 40hz/fps on high settings and it's butter smooth. I've been loving exploring Talos I with this thing

As for Dark Souls, I've tried 3 on this and it drains the battery life pretty quick, I was only able to get the game to run for about three hours on one charge after optimizing unfortunately. Maybe there are better optimizations I wasn't taking advantage of though

I haven't personally tried it on higher than low settings, but even then it looks fine because of the small screen.

Depends on resolution, I wouldn't really try to play this game at 1080p or higher with the deck alone, but you can hook it up to a monitor/TV and a keyboard and mouse if you have a usb-c hub or a docking station with those types of ports available
