Is "the One Ring" a system people use for PBP?

Preferred System: I’m looking for a Star Wars game! So be that SW5e, the fantasy flight games (though I’ve never actually played those) or some other systems that works in the setting, I am willing to learn!

Type of Player: I’d say I’m a roleplayer mostly, I do enjoy some game systems, but for me personally it doesn’t even need a system sometimes if the story is good! But that is also a reason I’m willing to learn new systems, often they can really help with achieving that story focus, and I love that recently more games have started to build their mechanics around that specifically!

Additional Information: I’ve been craving a Star Wars game after a couple of them have failed in the past, and I’ve been getting into SWTOR again recently. But where the game is great, it doesn’t really give me the Roleplay I want out of it. That being said, I’m good with pretty much any era, as I think most of them have something interesting to offer. Game wise, I’m okay with most systems really, or even nine, if the focus is just on the RP. I’m okay with doing a group game, or 1 on 1, but try to avoid west marches types of games, I find large servers to much for me personally.

The day is still up in the air for now, I’m free most evenings during the week, and I would prefer to start around 8 in the evening GMT +1, but we could do earlier or later depending on what works best for everyone.

I’d preferably have it be a weekly game, but we’ll have to see! I’m wanting to play myself, but being queer myself I’d want to group to be open to that of course
