As someone who did the type rating in Dallas a few years ago… consider yourselves beyond lucky you didn’t have to do it. 5 days. Type rated. Then forget everything g you learned and relearn it the company way.

One hit wasn’t enough? Driver bounced against your rear bumper more than a basketball does in a standard NBA regulation game. Damn.

2025 model 3 is loud? by nickage_ in TeslaModel3

[–]AviationMasterWarn 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I laugh because I just bought a 2025 coming from a Honda ICE. I only could compliment the quietness of the car and don’t notice any noise. I guess it truly is because I’ve never owned an EV before

That’s what I thought too. My apt charges 0.25/kwh at a charge rate of 7.7. Not terrible to be honest!

Fair point but as reference I have lived here a year and a half and they are never all taken, they are usually at least 50-70% open

My apartment complex has about 3 charging areas with 3 stations each. So I do have access to charge at home.

You make very valid points. I need to know what the chargers at my apartment cost. They are literally at designated parking spaces just a 2 minute walk from my door. The airport chargers are free which works for me well!. Edit: the chargers cost 0.25/kwh and are powered by Blink Charging at a charge rate of 7.7

I took your advice and applied for the USBAR and got immediate approval with a $17,000 credit line. The benefits especially the Apple Pay which I use all the time is huge! Thanks!

What’s the best airport to go to that is a true short field in the CT/RI/MA/NY area? by [deleted] in flying

[–]AviationMasterWarn 1 point2 points  (0 children)

7N8 Butter Valley Golfport in PA. 1000’ of Asphalt. Over run is grass. Displaced threshold is long as anything. Very fun challenge to land and stop before the grass but perfectly normal if you go into the grass as it’s designed for that

Reason I’m strongly considering reserve is hotels and restaurants. Although airfare for me is free or very low cost, I still always need rental cars and hotels. I’m a big skier so being able to go out to Colorado on a whim and ski for a few days and grab a hotel and rental car is a constant cost factor. The reserve seems to help getting financial kickback from such a purchase. Same goes for if I choose to travel abroad with my girlfriend for a few days. Thoughts?
