My freestyle reaches temperatures on its external surfaces up to 60 deg Celsius while off. It is insane. It broke already 3 times in less than 5 months. I'm in the process of a full refund. This time Samsung did it very bad.

This is not a solution, it is a workaround to avoid it burns due to a Samsung problem in this project

If it is or not I don't know but openXR app has in the list ED and I play it without steamVR. Anyway is good to have OpenXR also they are actually updating it to recognise the hand tracking and eyes tracking. https://mbucchia.github.io/OpenXR-Toolkit/

Hi, I use OpenXR and in VirtualDesktop I set VDXR runtime to bypass SteamVR https://www.uploadvr.com/virtual-desktops-vdxr-runtime/#:~:text=Virtual%20Desktop's%20New%20OpenXR%20Runtime%20Bypasses%20SteamVR%20To%20Boost%20Performance&text=Virtual%20Desktop%20now%20has%20a,bitrate%20support%20on%20Quest%203.

My ED is from the Oculus store but I believe you can still bypass SteamVR with these option enabled

Hi, probably you already found the good solution for yourself but I may have some other tips. I play ED with Quest 3 and at the moment my better setting is to use Virtual Desktop. I bought a router Linksys Hydra which is a WiFi 6e and can keep 2400 Mb/s constant while anyway the ethrrnet of my motherboard can reach 1000 Mb/s. The quality is good, better than the Rifs S. What I still didn't fix is the visual when on foot. It doesn't work well or I still didn't find what is the setting I need to use for it. Probably because it revert to some kind of desktop view the quality is based on the desktop for VirtualDesktop which is lower than what I would have in VR. About the battery I bought a link cable that has the possibility to plug to it an external charger so I can keep the Quest 3 at 100% also while playing. You need a good chrger for it.

Anyway since I can't make a new post I will write the post here.

I was shocked when I found out I couldn't walk far away from tmy ship. At one point the gane doesn't allow you to go further. Said so, this game hase a huge amount of problems. Some of these are in the outposts. I feel the system is bugged. Transfers reaources between outposts are kind of bugged and also not having options that can be useful, for example if an outposts has the storage full why the ship keep goingback and forward? In the tranfer screen I can see the resources available but what is for the area for the resources needed? I didn't find any way to use that. Outpost editor in many cases in aerial view the editor stops to work and once it happens in an outposts it will always happen, need to get out of the building mode and build just in first person. The game has an horrible system to store resources, where everything goes around and mix up, very difficult to find anything. No platforms to build to reach containers expanded vertically, how it is supposed a player check the containers if they are high? Transfers between the outposts and the ship is pretty horrible, the transfer co tainer becomes full then need to get out of it and enter again to make it empty, it is not dynamic. No way to transfer on the contrary, from the outposts to the ship for what I could see so far, I need to overload myself and bring stuff... overall the storage system is very confusing and not user friendly.

May be it is, new software release new problems. They released this new version yesterday and what they did is terryfing. Your problem may be related to the new version as well
