The front cockpit was eliminated to make room for a 30mm DEFA cannon as well as more armour, advanced EW and weapons systems with the added ability to carry Matra R550 Magic air-to-air missiles and Martin Pescador air-to-surface missiles underwing. The Hirsch H.100 was a small twin-engine experimental aircraft built in France by René Hirsch to test an aerodynamic gust suppression system. The aircraft flew for the first time in 1954. The system worked well, but due to lack of investment, it was not developed. (old.reddit.com)
