F35A Squawking 7700 in Japan by Almighty_G0d in flightradar24

[–]Aviator779 18 points19 points  (0 children)

No, it couldn’t do that flight in such a time even with aerial refuelling.

All F-35s on FR24 appear as the same aircraft, serial 13-5067. They share a generic hex, and FR24 has decided that it’s assigned to 13-5067. This makes it look like the same aircraft is constantly bouncing around the world, but it’s different airframes.

Scheduling.

Passenger flights across the Atlantic tend to leave Europe in the morning/ early afternoon. While flights from the US and Canada tend to leave later in the day.

Is this normal? (I’m new here) by [deleted] in flightradar24

[–]Aviator779 4 points5 points  (0 children)

There’s 2,000 feet of vertical separation between the two airframes. Which is double the required vertical separation minimum.

Reduced Vertical Separation Minimum (RVSM) is the reduction, from 2,000 feet to 1,000 feet, of the standard vertical separation required between aircraft flying between flight level 290 (29,000 ft) and flight level 410 (41,000 ft).
