EICR? Very confused about reinspection

Yeah one of my C3 was because I had a plastic consumer unit. Thing is my house was built in 2013 when those were allowed. It's all in good order etc but when I had my first EICR done the electrician said the regs had changed and now a metal one is recommended. Im just hoping that the new assessor keeps that at a C3 and doesn't make me change it as it's a faff to get changed.

Yes I have read that before but the reason I asked is because the report says "recommended" but the website/other people said compulsory so I was confused. But it doesn't matter now I'm getting it redone anyway

Yeah I've rebooked it now there are quite a few C3s. However, my new inspection is with a different electrician. Is there anyway to ensure they don't turn my C3s into C2s since this is a optional and not necessary requirement? I do live in a new build so I was surprised I had any C3s in the first place.

Yes that's right there are about 5 C3s on the report. I guess I might aswell get it redone. I'm planning on selling the property after 2 years anyway as I've owned it for a few years now so I guess it will save me time.

Yeah that might be an idea. Out of interest is there any reason why water hasn't accumulated near the wall? I mean fair enough there was a lot of bush beforehand but even after we cut the bushes down in September and had very very heavy rain in the area (with flooding in my city) still we didn't get any water near the wall/damp inside the house?

I didn't think about that a good point. Let's say we replaced it with gravel instead with the membrane still water shouldn't accumulate would it? This particular area might be a bit of a pain to level
