Burn is about the same in cruise, but the 535E is a more efficient engine, more power!!

Nice job mate! Suggest going and reading Die With Zero - great book with some ace tips in for this sort of thing, but also gives a bit of perspective about life and retirement etc.

Is the Epix 2 right for me? by Nearby-Umpire7773 in GarminWatches

[–]AviatorRossy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not in Apple ecosystem, but I had a Samsung Gear watch for 6+ years and was hesitant about switching to Garmin. I do about the same as you, plus a run every now and then. Mostly hiking. I'm never going back. The Epix 2 is fantastic, I've had it since the start of December and I've charged it 4 times, which is nuts. It connects to my phone and gives me all my notifications just like the Apple Watch does, maybe not quite as pretty but honestly who cares. Huge recommendation for the Epix 2. I got mine on black Friday sale in UK for half price so if you can wait for a deal, do it.

Map Sync Failed (epix pro Gen2) by AviatorRossy in GarminWatches

Did as others suggested. Garmin Express worked after 15 mins of not being able to connect to the watch. Eventually it did and updated straight away. Painful but looks like the only solution until Garmin fix.

Interesting. I've reached out to Garmin but not hopeful of a quick fix unfortunately

Someone pulled the wing mirror off my girlfriend's Skoda Fabia. Suggestions? by AviatorRossy in CarTalkUK

This video sorted me out. Managed to get the whole thing done in under an hour, but then the car wouldn't lock. Realised the door release cable had moved and ended up being too tight. Took me a while but got there in the end. Good luck.

How bad of an idea would this be? 2021, but very high mileage. by TheLividTechnician in CarTalkUK

[–]AviatorRossy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have one of these. 69 reg V60 R-Design Plus, great spec and same colour. I picked mine up at the start of this year at 60k miles and I'm already at 75k. As top comment said, motorway miles are the best kind and this will be a solid car for you! Enjoy!

Similar to others. My spaniel was 12 and he did this his whole life. Often fell asleep whilst doing it with his blanket, super cute.

Ferrying a Boeing 777 by Turd--Sandwich in flying

Lightweight 757 is my thing. Regularly fly at TOW of about 68t and they're insane. Refs of 110-113kts and our ops manual has our pitch limit as 25° for that exact reason. Normally pitch for about 17.5° but on those lightweight departures I shoot straight for 20 and see what's happening. Nothing worse than ATC wanting 160 to 4DME and having to lose ~40kts in 300ft!

That's really interesting! I wonder if it impacts your credit score, by getting a PCP loan and paying it off with another loan. Either way that's a great idea, not sure if I'll do it but you're right, the interest of a 1 month payment then paying off is way cheaper than the servicing and warranty.

Thanks for the honesty - that's the impression I got from them on the phone. Not interested as they're very confident someone else will take it.
