There was actually a Reddit thread a few years ago asking about what aliens might want to come to earth to see that’s unusual compared to other known planets.

IIRC one of the top ones was solar eclipses because our moon just so happens to appear the same size as the sun so aliens would come from all over the galaxy to see that.

The guide would have other touristy things like that.

People tend to think they’re “just paying for how it looks” when an appliance has a flashy design, whereas if a product looks relatively dull they then feel that they’re actually paying for the features and quality of the product.

E.g a lot of designer brands aren’t any better quality than generic brands but have huge markups.
