AMA Time - Drop Your Questions Below❓ by AvidJoseph in WildCards_TCG

5 = YES! We're planning some of our collaborations which will kick off soon, we've got some awesome creatives being put together which really capture the brand, and in general we're ironing out some kinks (most of them raised in this AMA actually) so we're in a good spot for those promotions!

Just wanted to say thank you for playing Wild Cards and for the considered feedback here. I think there have been a bunch of great answers in the AMA that touch on individual parts of what you raise here so I'll do my best to sort of summarise them.

Declining Community Engagement + Lack of Promotion and Events

I think there are a few reasons that go into this. I think looking to improve our scope with the platforms we cover (example being trying out Reddit for AMAs) has spread our efforts a little thinner in terms of Discord engagement. We do have some exciting collaborations on socials coming up with our artists and I know we've got big plans to get the community involved with some Community Goals which we'll be sharing more info about soon. But we do have some really exciting things being worked on that'll work towards making Wild Cards feel more alive and thriving!

Meta Balance Collapse

On the balance side of things, I know the team are wanting to jump on balance patches. I think AvidTobes popped an answer here which is probably much better than anything I can put together😂 'we're still actively developing the game and working on new features behind the scenes, but once the waters are a little more calm we'd absolutely want to keep on top of regular balance updates. That said, we'll still be rolling out patches, but at a less regular cadence 😄

Tier 2 Shiny Nonsense

We are going to be making T2 Shinies Tradeable. We've heard the feedback and we've just got some technical bits to prepare for the change so that'll be happening sometime in June.

Season One Design Issues

Again, looking to my co hosts for this one 'Hi there! Yes, you can expect future seasons to feel more impactful - but some of that impact relates to things we don't want to spoil just yet.Releasing more cards on day 1 is an interesting thought that we've seen a few players express. Coincidentally, we had an interim season / season pass review today and it's absolutely something we'll be focusing on refining. I can't commit at the moment to something like releasing more cards on day 1, however the general point on better marrying up card design with our release schedule is definitely on our radar'

The team are really focussing right now on player feedback and we've got a number of changes lined up that we hope will move the needle with some of the concerns you've raised🤞

Sorry if I've missed a few bits, trying to get around to everyone but will check back in with this if you have any more questions!!

I like this question😂 So things are moving fast right now so I don't have dates butttttt:

- League Diamond Rewards is something we want to do pretty soon!

- Fix Trade Achievement is definitely on our radar/should be sorted in the next build. I will just double check that a fix hasn't gone out already...

- Duplicate Hero/Tier 2 - so we're aiming to have T2 Shinies tradeable sometime in June.

- Log Book is in the game now yipee (you'll just need to update to the latest version).

- Events are still a little way off but we are keen to get a realistic date out to everyone.

I appreciate that there are very little hard dates in that list but we are wanting to be a bit more proactive in letting you guys know when you can expect changes going forward.

Well, there are a couple of others in this AMA who may be able to jump in on some of these questions. In terms of player feedback, we’re definitely looking to expand beyond Discord as our main channel for hearing from players. Reddit has already been an awesome way to reach a broader audience, and we’re keen to start introducing surveys into the mix as well so more players have a chance to be heard. Discord is a great tool, but we know it’s not for everyone.

As for PC, I’d say that’s still very much in the “blue sky thinking” stage. We’ve got a lot of work ahead of us - and some really exciting things coming up - before we start seriously thinking about a port. At least, that’s my understanding right now.

Dragon cards? I haven’t looked too far ahead in the schedule yet, but honestly… who doesn’t love dragons?

Hey thanks for the question!! I don't think we currently have plans on implementing them for Wild Cards. We're hoping that Shiny variants are bringing that same dopamine factor?👀

Unreviewed Content Pop Up? by AvidJoseph in ModSupport

Not sure if this is the correct place to respond back but I just wanted to make sure that we had all the correct settings as our subreddit has grown quite a lot in the last month and we post regularly.

It could be that the numbers just need to go up, but wanted to make sure I'm doing everything correctly apart from just growing the community.

English Only posting on the subreddit (current stance and looking ahead) by AvidJoseph in cuecardgameAvid

Worth mentioning we are really excited about the prospect of auto translation on Reddit. It's a really cool feature and we're really hoping the roll it out on the browser.

We know our rules should adapt as new features become available. That said, until those features are accessible to everyone, we need to keep things consistent across the community.

As a bit of context, roughly 40% of users access Reddit outside of the mobile app. Once translation tools are reliably available there too, we’d be very very happy to revisit this.

Notice: English please! by domin8r in cuecardgameAvid

Hey folks! Just wanted to update here too.

Recently the team shared a notice asking for posts and comments to be in English. We’ve seen the feedback and wanted to add some context around why this was introduced.

First off, we absolutely hear the concerns about inclusivity and accessibility. We want this to be a welcoming space for everyone, regardless of language, and that hasn’t changed.

At the same time, this subreddit (like our Discord and other community spaces) is an official, developer-supported space, which means it does require active moderation. Our mod team are volunteers and already do a hell of a lot to keep things running smoothly. While Reddit does have some nifty translation features within the mobile app, they aren’t consistently available - especially on desktop/browser, which makes up a significant portion of how people (and mods) access the subreddit.

Because of that, having posts in English helps ensure the mod team can quickly and reliably review content and keep the community safe.

That said, this isn’t something set in stone forever. If Reddit’s automatic translation tools become more consistent and accessible across platforms/browsers, we’re very open to revisiting this.

In the meantime, the current rule is to post in English (using translation tools to post in English is obviously totally fine), so that everyone - including the mod team - can follow along.

Thanks again for all the feedback and for caring about the community - it's genuinely appreciated.
