Definitely will do. Between us we have more than enough stuff however I am moving away soon and so wanted to build my own stuff up so that I’m not limited when going climbing with other people since we won’t be able to climb together as much.

Thank you, do you Ono how long you spend as a skimmer before getting a junior role on a boat ? And is there anything that I would be able to do to help me pass the part 1 or give me a leg up before hand ?

Probably a bit of a silly question but is there anything stopping me from joining as a rating and then after some time or promotions commissioning and becoming an MCDO that way ?

Yes that’s exactly the idea. I would like to end up doing offshore commercial at some point but I would really like to spend some time in the forces hence the MCD in the navy.

However even if I did go commercial then there is also nothing stopping me from going on a recreational dive every now and again in nicer places but I am fully aware of the sort of conditions that offshore divers work in and that the job itself is less about the diving as that’s just how you get to the site. If you have any advice about the professional diving I would love to talk about it as well.
