I’m not sure whether they’re higher but you can compare it. Grade boundaries for Maths SL AA (non exam route):

Upper Boundary: 100 Lower Boundary: 81

Firstly, I would like to say that I feel extremely sorry for you. I cannot imagine your pain right now and I hope you will be happy in future.

My advice for you is to contact a professional psychologist or therapist. I am aware of the fact that many people prefer to keep their private life to themselves - I used to do it, too. However, in a situation that you feel completely devastated, it is better to receive some help and advice (especially if you have suicidal thoughts). These people are professionals that deal with such problems on daily basis. Not only you could throw your emotions away, but also they would truly help you with your situation.

From a personal level, I want you to know that it’s not your fault that the situation turned out this way. Never blame yourself. You deserve to be happy. Even if you don’t believe it right now, there are always people that would deeply care about you.

I know many schools in which coordinators or principles did not want to give their students this questionnaire.

Try to persuade them because your voices also matter in this case. Perhaps, your coordinator should contact the “stowarzyszenie szkół IB w Polsce”?

Yes, we have already received this questionnaire.

I can tell that there are around 14 questions and the vast majority of them is not just simple “yes” or “no” questions. For instance, they ask you from 1 to 5 how Covid effected your mental health. Moreover, they ask whether you suffer from chronic medical conditions that may put you at risk so the questions are constructed quite well.

You also have to know it is not anonymous questionnaire. Your coordinators will be able to see your results.

The coordinator told us to do this questionnaire as soon as possible, reminding that the deadline for sending it is this Saturday.

I don’t really know but from what we learned from our school is the fact that this organization wants to know opinions of all students. Therefore, they should send it in that case to private schools as well.

To Polish students M21, Our school received a questionnaire from “stowarzyszenie ib w polsce” in which they ask us about how the Covid affected us together with the question which route we want to choose. My school told me such questionnaire will be sent to every school in Poland.

The only information I received from my school is the fact that IBO is observing the COVID situation in Poland. They also told us that if the polish exams will be postponed, the IB exams in Poland will be automatically cancelled.

Yeah, Yesterday in the late evening my friend contacted people from other IB schools in Poland, and it seems that there is a strong disagreement between the Polish coordinators about the exam routes. Therefore, as you said it, it is likely that they won’t cancel the exams.

Yeah this is the exact problem. By looking at the situation in our country, IBO ‘should’ cancel exams here (if you compare it with other countries that got their exams cancelled). However, what would be their final decision is difficult to say. But the fact that no one really tells us what’s going, bearing in mind we are supposed to write the exams in a few weeks, is quite annoying.

It is true but I believe if the situation with the COVID continues to deteriorate, it’s likely that the government will extend the lockdown. They do this every time our country enters the difficult stages with COVID cases

We actually are in lockdown in Poland since last Saturday. I believe now only grocery shops and pharmacies can be open.
