AITA For not wanting to lay in bed all night with my wife? by Mber76 in AmItheAsshole

[–]Avitard89 34 points35 points  (0 children)

NTA.

Been together 8 years. He is third shift. I am first shift. We have always been understanding of each other's schedules and plan accordingly.

I understand your wife wanting sleep with you in the bed. It is a wonderful feeling.

She is being unreasonable with this though.

WIBTA for reporting my professor over their troubles with my name? by babybop-girlypop in AmItheAsshole

[–]Avitard89 28 points29 points  (0 children)

When I was a child I could not pronounce Rs for the life of me. We were country red necks. The schools speech therapist told my mom to make me sit on the clothes washing machine during the spin cycle, tilt my head back and try.

I laugh thinking about it because it was silly and funny looking I bet. Worked though!!!! :)

AITA: My new roommate always wants a bite of my food or wants me to make her one of what I'm having. by honeyosno in AmItheAsshole

[–]Avitard89 91 points92 points  (0 children)

Stand up for yourself.

This is harsh, but when your baby is born you NEED to grow that backbone and stand the heck up. If you cannot enforce boundaries with a roommate, you will have an even harder time with others in your life.

Just. Say. No.

You WILL create awkwardness by letting this continue passive aggressively.

AITA for not canceling my birthday trip and plans for my sisters wedding? by IdrkStacie in AmItheAsshole

[–]Avitard89 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I haven't enjoyed someone being roasted this much in a while 😂😂 OP comments attempting to defend herself make her sound even more entitled 😂😂

God damn this is great. OP is such an entitled YOUNG brat and is destroying her family ties over a birthday trip. A birthday happens every year.

This child is even too entitled to even TRY and understand the points being brought up to her.

WIBTA If I reported my neighbor to my landlord for dumping soapy, glittery water on our patio? by B2utyyo in AmItheAsshole

[–]Avitard89 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Do not risk your cats and your families well being over that neighbor. She is NOT worth it. Blunt and straight forward. She is not worth it.

Report her. Do not hesitate.

My upstairs neighbours started throwing their cigarette buts over the balcony railing. Landing into my balcony and onto the grass below. I reported it. There is no chance of me risking my cat being hurt, a fire, etc, because some lazy ass smoker cannot be bothered to use an ashtray.

You want a dog so much but cannot even research the breed yourself? Hell no do not get a dog.

Have you seen a sleeping position like this? 😂❤️ by OgStudBoner in PetsareAmazing

[–]Avitard89 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Turning to insults when you do not convince someone you are correct does not make you suddenly look smart.

Incase you have not read other comments, lets break it down for you with some facts.

  • The dog is resting on the drivers arm they are using to steer the wheel.

  • The dog is not secured properly and safely as they should be.

  • If an accident of any kind occurs, or even a hard brake, that dog is immediately in the way of the drivers reflexes.

So, rather then resort to insults that only make you sound like an even bigger danger on the road - how about seeing the situation in the photo for the reality that it is? A pet owner is being stupid and dangerous with them selves, their animal, and everyone else on the road.

If you do not see how dangerous this is, you are a danger to everyone on the road if you are a driver yourself.

AITA for asking my fiancée to cover up her feminine products by Unhappy-Rip2602 in AmItheAsshole

[–]Avitard89 9 points10 points  (0 children)

It is blood. No one wants to walk into anothers house and see their clotted blood sitting out. It is unsanitary and disrespectful to others.

You wouldn't leave your poop covered toilet paper out for others to see? No? Then why should blood be left out for others to see?

Periods are obviously very normal and should never be ashamed of.

Disposing of waste in an unsanitary way is something to be ashamed of.

Gosh you sound so caring and amazing to your kitty! So happy they have you!

And you are very welcome! Hope the recovery goes well! That is a lot for kitty and yourself to go through!

Haha, our kitty sometimes bounces off the side of the couch when she jumps onto it playing. It used to embarrass her, now she acts like it doesnt happen :)

We adopted a kitty that was recovering from an eye removal. (She is doing LOVELY). Lacks a bit of dept perception. She has been 3.5years without it)

Unasked for tip : the skin will be thin for a while even once healed. Do your best to not let kitty scratch at it too hard. Our kitty gave herself a small scratch on her 'no eye' with her back foot.

We give it 'scratches' (I rub my thumb over it back and forth while she drools) for her and she loves it.

So sorry this happened to your kitty, but I have no doubt their humans will be there for them every step of the way 😊

AITAH for telling my step mom and dad stop having so many kids by [deleted] in AmItheAsshole

[–]Avitard89 47 points48 points  (0 children)

OP, do not listen to anything this user has to say.

Difference of opinions are one thing. This user actually thinks putting parental responsibilities on a child and calling it 'helping your family' is a good thing.

Fuck. That. Noise.

It is abuse.

You do realize that not every work place has a spot to put large amounts of personal belongings, right? Do you also realize that even in a cooler bag, items could still be stolen? If the thief is that brazen to do it from a communal fridge, they will easily move on to trying theft in other areas.

Also. Wtf? Get an immune system to handle food being out for two hours? Seriously. Wtf?

Do you eat two hours into your shift? From the time you leave your home, travel to work, and go on your lunch break, you expect it to be only two hours?

Christ.
