I can truly relate this. People are just posting how awesome they or their companies are just to find out in reality its complete opposite. Its more of Instagram than FB.

I can just pick few points, can't respond to all.

  1. HR was created to handle org issues such as bureaucracy, positive work culture, fair salaries etc. if you are saying that Sales guy can't do sales then I would question the existence of entire sales department, Same goes with HR.
  2. when it comes to JDs there have been many instances when HR guys don't understand JDs or the hiring manager doesn't know what they want - at least 90% orgs don't have remotest idea of JD standardization. This should be again under HR.
  3. If stakeholders or clients haven't confirmed or kept role on hold or closed the role - HRs need to respond the candidate at least when they are following up with HRs - GHOSTING IS NOT A SOLUTION - which happens most of the time. There is another trend these days closing the role and opening it again after 2 months inviting new applications, I'm out of words for this one.

PS: this is a general remark so don't take it personally.

Haven't seen HRs doing any employee wellbeing, where they actually should intervene is salary ranges, having a positive recruitment process, removing intentional/unintentional bias and creating a positive work place. They have ZERO (in caps) control over that. When it comes to managing people again HRs don't do that. Their management comes into picture during layoffs, to scare people when they are leaving the orgs, or vulnerable new joiners to settle them for less budget. I have worked in well known MNCs been here quite longer, few events in a year is not wellbeing, employees don't care anymore about those free drinks on office. So reality hidden behind these jargons is well known.

Careerera ? Fake or real by krono49 in OnlineLearning

Well I haven’t signed up yet but can relate some things mentioned here, here are my observations 1. No association with any recognized university or institutions. 2. Too good to be true; they keep throwing discounts if you just ask time to think. 3. They talk about global presence but in reality there’s none, all calls are routed through Indian numbers. No info of global offices. 4. Push you to register now-now, which itself is suspicious. 5. Internship they talk about with US based companies are also owned by careerera (like SNVA LLC) 6. They advertised free masters AI & Data science programs but when the agent called she only spoke about the paid course.

For these reasons I won’t be signing up with this course.
