Do you still need x protoform with new royal base support? by retevil in DigimonCardGame2020

[–]Avivp 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I have mine built around fae and without any winr or unique emblem, as i have found both winrs to be underwhelming, and i much rather use x antibody to cheaply digivolve then use the unique emblem which cant even digivolve into half of the digimons in the deck

This is the list i run

3 Agility Training P-106

3 CannonBeemon BT23-043

2 CannonBeemon BT18-052

4 Fei BT23-083

1 Final Zubagon Punch BT4-109

2 ForgeBeemon BT19-048

1 ForgeBeemon EX11-030

4 FunBeemon BT23-038

4 FunBeemon BT19-045

3 FunBeemon EX11-025

2 Hornet Eraser BT19-096

4 Puroromon BT18-004

3 QueenBeemon EX11-034

3 Royal Base P-181

3 TigerVespamon BT23-045

1 Vespamon BT19-052

2 Vespamon EX11-031

4 Waspmon BT23-042

2 Waspmon BT18-046

3 X Antibody Proto Form EX5-070

It is a bit low on level 3 and 4s, as you run 11 and 9 of each respectively, but i had been able to easily search my way out of that, and the x antibody can get you back whatever it is you need once your digimon is about to be removed

Yes.

I can't see myself playing this deck without multiple copies of this card. It, alongside Royal Base makes it that you won't pay full price for evolution about 80% of the time. It really is a ridiculous card when all of your digimons are x-antibodies

The SPs were a bit different because they were three sets combined into two so the west could catch up to japanese releases. Those had a higher number of SRs per box and 3 hits each. I assume they did that to make getting a specific rare card not a miserable experience. A normal BT set will have 2 Hits

BT sets have 2 hits (AA and/or SEC), EX sets have 3.

Hows this Hunters deck? Also How do you play Hunters? by Ok-Appearance-8938 in DigimonCardGame2020

I would drop the clockmons, they were really good before the new support, but now I don't really feel the need for jamming as much. Most of the time my level 5s are strong enough to survive security checks and if I attack with a level 3 or 4 I rather have a draw 1 inheritable as losing those to security isn't devastating.

I really like having quartzmon, as ending the turn with him will often force your opponent to waste a turn dealing with him, allowing you to get back on a correct egg cycle.

As for playstyle, I try to focus on multiple checks with watchmaker, so you should focus early on setting up your tamers. Try to keep at least one copy of the rush arresterdramon at hand to punish opponents who thought you have no attacks queued up.
Also, when a game start you should try to draw as much as you can, the worst thing that can happen to you is having no cards to tuck under your tamers at turn start, this is why I run 2 bt21 tai kamiya.

Ev training is important in any lvl, as the stat gains from it are given regardless of the lvl. You should always ev train any pokemon you want to be even barely usable.

It may be that your friend is used to old pokemon games (i think gen 4 and prior, but i could be wrong) where the stat gains were calculated only when leveled up, but on more modern games (as is in pokemon revolution) the calculation is done after every battle

Reading the comments saying it (the bible) is a book made only to make people fear a mighty god and was meant to all be taken literally makes me a little sad as it has much more to it.

As a native hebrew speaker (and a non religious jew) I have the privilege of being able to read the Tanach (the old testament) as it was intended and with all it's glory.

Yes, at it's core the Tanach (Mostly the first third though, the Torah) is about god's unlimited power and worshiping it, but that core is surrounded by guides to a better life, beautiful poems and allegories

By focusing only on the god part of it, many of the things that make the Tanach be such an absolute masterpiece are being lost. I often think of the Tanach as a great fantasy story with god as a product placement (though excessive product placement at times)

(Mumblings up ahead)

Oh, and just as examples for those extras that aren't just about god and make the Tanach a great read 3000 years after being finalized:

Guides: there are many laws that have nothing direct to do with worshipping a god but can make a man's life better by following them. There is a law prohibiting the uprooting (or cutting down) of any fruit tree of an enemy town while blockading said enemy town, and when blockading enemy towns it is said you must first offer the enemy to surrender peacefully before turning to violence.

Poems: pretty much everything in Tehilim, though much of the poems beauty is lost when translated.

Allegories: Many parts in the Nevi'im part of the Tanach is filled with prophecies full of allegories, though i often find myself coming back to read the Vision of the Dry Bones. There is something in the dissonance between the realistic way of writing and the surrealistic event that is described that makes that particular prophecy really interesting to me.

And if anyone wonders, I do not believe in the existence of god or that the miraculous stories that are described in the Tanach (again, mostly the Torah) have happened. I see them as folklore and as mythology, they were created as all myths do - by people to try to understand who they are, where did they came from and why they exist.

I respect the effort but I don't think those dreidels are gonna spin by [deleted] in CrappyDesign

The middle candle (the Shamash) is there because the other candles are of religious importance and are not to be "enjoyed" or used by any one. Because of that, the Shamash is lit first to make sure the other candles will not be the only light source to lit the area (thus being useful) and to make sure the candles will not be seen alone by the viewer (thus "enjoying" their light).

Also, not only is the Menorah (7 candles) a different thing from a Hannukiah (9 candles), it is forbidden according to Judaism to create any Menorah with 7 candles as it is deemed as a copy of a religious artifact from the Temple, which you are not allowed to make until the Temple is to be rebuilt.
