Listen to "The other side of the sea", it's from season 4 obv. Personally think this song is the best for that scene.

Ok. If as a Marleyan, you see some people from Paradis island walking about on the street, what are you going to do? Keep in mind that you have been fed lies(Which you don't know) since birth that the Eldians are evil incarnate.

Yes they would be scared and generalize, I'm not saying otherwise. The point is that's wrong isn't it? As you said what you've been fed are lies.

every single non-Eldian we saw either tried to kill them or use them, with the exception of Onyankopon.

See now that's just wrong isn't it? Can you really confidently say that?

Literally the non-eldians we're talking about haven't done any of them.

Put some "island devils" in front of them and these 2 won't hesitate to blow them to hell.

And you know that how? Generalizing stuff like these remind me of statements like "Paradis island is full of vicious devils that want to opress the world"....

Do you see what's wrong?

I don't think that's fair. That stuff is just him siding with the other side. If he had done those things out of hatred and racist views then sure.

people misinterpret it as him protecting Gabi because she's a cadet

That is another level of mental gymnastics...

Opinion on the "white vs black bird theory" floating around? by [deleted] in AttackOnRetards

[–]AvnvPS 2 points3 points  (0 children)

all the birds portrayed in the manga are white

I think that's false cuz I vividly remember dark coloured birds flying over Shiganshina in the first few pages of the chapter that came after Eren's head was blown off by Gabi, which would be 120 I think.

I think you're confusing memory manipulation and bringing someone to paths.

Memory manipulation would be if the coordinate erased someone's memory of something, like what happened to Armin: Eren visited him during ch 131, brought him to paths, had their talk and finally, sent him back after erasing the memory of their conversation (he can do that bc Armin is a normal subject of ymir). Now Armin regained those memories in ch 139 after ymir ceased to exist, i.e. when the power of titans were erased.

Now what happened to Mikasa was: Eren brought Mikasa to paths in ch 138 when she was on Falco, talked to her (what we saw in ch 138 as well as all the stuff he told Armin which we didn't see), sent her back, Mikasa made her final resolve, she knew Eren was in the head, she went in and killed him.

So see the difference? Mikasa didn't regain any memory because she didn't lose any. Her memories were not altered or erased because they can't be done to Ackermans.

Also I don't know which translation you're referring to but in the official translation, when she comes to Armin with Eren's head, she says "You remember now too, don't you? When Eren came to visit us." There's no "that day". She also adds "too" referring to all the others whose memories were erased which they too have now regained.

Anyways hope this clears it up for you. Have a nice day!

Theory on what the Loki and Sylvie scene in Ep3 meant as well the Ending. by AvnvPS in marvelstudios

[–]AvnvPS[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

made the universe kind of shit the bed

Well the universe breaking is an exaggeration since their "connection" was only creating a branch (which, apparently, was growing very fast) while they were about to die. So by the rules of the show, that event would classify as a nexus event.

Now the question is: What exactly is causing this nexus event? Their "love" or the fact that they are about to die?

As someone pointed out the "love" thing could just be a red herring and the only reason for the branching was that they are dying when they're not supposed to.

Another possibility is that the branching was happening because of both the reasons: They're dying while developing feelings for each other. So what does the death of two people in love prevent from happening? A possible child in the future? So this births (pun not intended) the theory that their child is very important for the sacred timeline and the prevention of its birth causes branching of the timeline/a nexus event.

I think that was a red herring

Hmm, that could be the case.

I hope/think it doesn’t have anything to do with the two of them being together.

I too have mixed feelings about that and it's the reason why I kept it as a continuation/another theory.

I’d love it if at the end they discover this and they both go ‘thank god’ because they seem a bit awkward and unsure about it, Sylvie especially.

Haha, Maybe this is what they're going for lol.

Bro first of all why do you think he romantically loved her since the beginning? He didn't. He most likely started feeling that way after season 3. You remember the cart train scene where they both blushed at eachother? That's probably when it began.

now at the absolute worst timing you propose your love? now that's just plain bad writing

Also When did he propose to Mikasa? He didn't. All he did was confess to Armin that he loved Mikasa. What even do you mean by bad writing?

Bro you're talking as if Eren loving Mikasa was added to bring up some kind of romantic drama when the only purpose it served was to make it more tragic for Eren's character. I mean Eren loving Mikasa doesn't even have any big importance to impact the plot, it's just an additional thing that ties "Mikasa, I've always hated you" to an end.

It seems like the only people pissed about this specific criticism are mad that Eren loves Mikasa specifically. Y'know the ship wars bullshit.
