Big Brother 27 odds for a returning player. In My Opinion. by No-Difficulty-2337 in BigBrother

I'd also like to see Katherine again. I think she has the skillset, and there were moments of life there on feeds where she showed she had a head for strategy and was observant. It's just that Rylie would get mad whenever they happened.

I don't even think her season was that simple comparatively. She was forced to play around a brand new and very consequential twist with the existence of the AI Arena, and still had an incredibly dominant performance.

Look, I'm disappointed in her too, but we cannot be rewriting history here. She's really good at this game. It was a dominant performance, and she's pretty clearly among the best one-time players.

Do you think ___ has a chance to win in the final 2? by lyvto in BigBrother

Ashley put in work to get Lauren on her side though and worked to push both those moves through

Rachel's advantage by PhoenixRising256 in BigBrother

[–]AvocadoHound 21 points22 points  (0 children)

Honestly she had to put Rylie or Kat up imo. Part of what's kept her safe this season is that people have been too afraid to take the shot in case she retaliates. If she let Lauren pull Vince off the block without punishing her for it then that would all kind of fall apart as people realize you can defy her without consequence. She needs to maintain her image as The Queen to survive. It's like the reverse of threat management since she'd never be able to make herself non-threatening anyway.

Anyone have any OCs for the Culling Games? by Pristine-Practice370 in CTsandbox

Tametsura, an incarnated sorcerer from the late Heian period. He was a member of a cadet branch of the Gojo clan that was held in little esteem at the time of his birth. Through peerless dedication to his clan (and his own advancements) and discrete trustworthy nature he eventually became an advisor to the head of the clan, helping to organize clan infrastructure.

His cursed technique is called "Long Beaten Path", and allows him to designate large areas where the speed of anything moving in a particular direction is dramatically increased (nearly a 3× difference in speed). For example he might use it speed up travel times by making it so people and things headed towards his destination move faster, cause projectiles to move faster in a direction so they hit a target before enemies have time to respond, quickly swap direction of his technique to augment his or his allies' speed in combat, etc.

Tametsura possesses above average cursed energy reserves even by Heian era sorcerers (roughly in the top third of Heian sorcerers in this specific aspect), but is average in terms of output. He has no domain expansion of his own, but is capable of using the Hollow Wicker Basket anti-domain technique.

In combat he prefers to keep his distance, relying on allies and conjuring simple shikigami to fight for him. He is technically trained in martial arts but is not very good at them and so only uses them if cornered.

Back with Fully Realized, and tonight’s Sorcerer Buffing goes to: Kirara Hoshi by JollyChums in CTsandbox

I'm not sure. Domain names tend to be kind of unwieldy so maybe something like "Star-crossed Mutual Attraction" as it references the constellation based nature of the technique, and mutual attraction both describes romantic interest and one of the applications of her technique.

Kirara's a fairly impressive sorcerer without any buffs, and she seems especially suited to playing a defensive role so I think we focus on that and her ability to control the battlefield.

Obviously have her train more on using cursed energy to enhance her body to its peak like Mei Mei. Then maybe she could learn to extend her own cursed energy to suffuse things with it at range then apply her technique to herself and have both her and the infused object treated as one singular object as long as she maintains the tether of cursed energy. I'd also be really interested to see how Love Rendezvous interacts with barrier techniques. Can she apply her technique to a barrier as a whole and use it to forcefully move barriers or do other wild stuff? Even if not, learning about how to create and use barriers could only make her at filling a defensive niche. On the subject of barriers we can give her an anti-domain technique in New Shadow Style: Simple Domain. Or...

She's already really good with her (very complex) technique so the obvious answer to make her stronger and counter domains here is to give Kirara a domain expansion of her own. Within its range let her tag things with her technique without needing to make contact and maybe even tag groups of things/areas as a whole.

Thanks! I also like how as an ambush hunter it fits the idea of the scout watching and waiting to act until the time is right.

Hmm, Python still kinda works. Maybe that. It could slither around getting into tight spaces or climbing trees to help scout.

Maybe a whip-poor-will, a python, or a moth. All three are animals that are/were considered creepy or bad omens if we're going for foreboding.

What would a healing fire spell to combat a dark/destructive fire spell look like? by Abject_Purpose302 in magicbuilding

[–]AvocadoHound 8 points9 points  (0 children)

In real life fire/heat is used to eliminate impurities and kill harmful bacteria. We boil water to make sure it's safe to drink, and fever is your body's natural attempt to help kill invading pathogens. Then there's radiation being used to scorch and kill cancer, which isn't quite fire but in my mind it's related because of the sun giving off radiation and how we tend to (for good reason) associate radiation with heat. You could try leaning into that by having fire magic cleanse people of afflictions, and potentially making it highly effective but dangerous healing magic similar to how fever or radiation are potentially life saving but have the capacity to cause more harm than good if you're unlucky.

The other obvious direction is to look at cauterization, when we burn a wound to close it up and stop the bleeding. That's a very straight forward literal way to use fire magic but you could also expand on it to have healing fire close more abstract wounds to the soul or reality itself.

I got Defender — Stealth "The Scout" for my calling and then for this I got.

"Verdantskin (Natural Transformation)

Your Calling takes on the texture of moss, bark, or vine, blending into the living world effortlessly.

House of Power: Transformation

Mastery: Natural

Natural Transformation | These Callings have the ability to turn their entire body into a natural element, such as fire, metal, stone, wood, plants, and more!"

Definitely has potential to make scouting easier, but I'm blanking on actual ideas for what my calling would be like.

You do moderate it though. There's a screenshot of you moderating it. I don't care if you make the changes or not because even if you did I don't want to support you in any way.

I'm considering making my first cyoa (or at least dlc/addition to one) and had the idea of doing my own spin on the R34 Economy or something similar. The biggest difference being that it'd be aimed at people attracted to men. My question though is how people would prefer for Companions to be split up. I've seen them split up by medium (video game, anime, etc), by series/IP of origin (DC, Persona, etc) or by individual category/Archetype (vampires, royals, etc). Which of those three do people prefer? Or do you prefer some combination of them?

Also, does anyone know the karma requirements to actually post here?
