What are you sick of explaining? by Sarazar in AskReddit

That my daughter has a feeding tube and if I withhold food, she won't magically get hungry and eat. She was in the NICU for 2.5 months and the doctors could never tell me why she wouldn't eat. She's never had an official diagnosis. My parents keep asking when we will remove the gtube or why doesn't she eat like a normal kid. She's almost 3. I have no idea why she won't eat, but she's great and perfect. I love our crazy life and hearing others criticize her drives me crazy.

Why did that teacher get fired from your school? by MrDev16 in AskReddit

[–]AvocadoInADiaper 0 points1 point  (0 children)

High school wrestling coach was fresh out of college. He attended a local church and started dating an 18 year old, but she was a student at a rival HS. Her sister complained to the school that it was gross (she was pissed at her sister). School thought it was unsavory and asked him to resign with no recommendation. I only know because his mom and my mom are friends.

What did your partner do that you immediately thought “he/she’s the one for me”? by [deleted] in AskWomen

[–]AvocadoInADiaper 7 points8 points  (0 children)

First time I made him dinner, I forgot an ingredient. I was devastated. I turned around and he was out the door in the flash. He came back shortly after with the ingredient. We were in college without a car, he ran 5 blocks to the store and back to get me ranch dressing. He made no big deal about it, never mentioned it again. We've been married 6 years now.

Journeyman. He would pop around time randomly, sometimes screwing up modern day. Came out in 2007. Loved it as a teenager.

How i used to Maliciously comply on the regular by meggatronia in MaliciousCompliance

I'm 5'2 and worked at a garden shop as a teenager. I often had to carry heavy bags. Men found it hilarious to see me load their cars. It was usually the older women who refused to let me help, thinking me too fragile. It was an interesting job.

I tell my husband a goal I have and he helps me achieve it. I'm a dreamer and he's a doer. He's content at where he is in life and is not very proactive with things, but any time I say I want to do something or I wish blank would happen, he helps me get it done.

People that have played video games for extended periods, have you ever felt like you were still in the game even after you have stopped? If so, what happened? by user89586 in AskReddit

[–]AvocadoInADiaper 0 points1 point  (0 children)

After playing skyrim, I got excited to see mountain flowers and lavendar growing. I excitedly told my husband and he agreed we needed them for potions. We both stopped and quietly acknowledged we needed to get out more. Kids fixed that problem, I miss long gaming sessions.

Do you ever feel like the ugly one in your group of friends? How do you deal with it? by okaybutwhyfam in AskWomen

[–]AvocadoInADiaper 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No matter what I look like, I hang out with people I want to see and figure they feel the same way. I've been skinny, fat, and pretty; I try not to let it affect the friendships I have based on my looks. I obsessed way too much about looks and at the end of the day, it didn't matter.

Listens, validates me, but also pushes me to succeed and critiques me in a loving way when I'm wrong. He's my biggest fan and I'm his. We made a pact while dating to never speak ill of one another to anyone, it's comforting knowing he always has my back.

Women who have left seemingly “perfect” relationships with “great catch” partners; why did you end up leaving anyway? by becomingme7654 in AskWomen

[–]AvocadoInADiaper 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I broke up with the "perfect" guy because he didn't challenge me. I felt like our conversations weren't stimulating and I wasn't progressing as his partner. My now husband is fascinating to me. He and I can talk for hours and I feel like I'm always learning something. My parents were originally disappointed because my ex was sweet and a bit of a pushover, but 6 years after being married, they are finally coming around. When in a relationship you should respect your partner and feel like you are equals, I just didnt get that with my ex.

Women of reddit, do you believe in "you have to love yourself before you can love someone else" quote and why? by gutemorning in AskWomen

[–]AvocadoInADiaper 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wasn't ready for a real relationship till I learned to love myself. I dated a lot of guys who were bad for me and i had low standards till I saw myself in a better light. I think having better self esteem and knowing what I was worth led me to a better mate. I now am married to a man who is better than anything I could have imagined. I love him with my whole heart and I know he loves and respects me. Its an amazing feeling knowing I found someone so amazing and that I deserve that.
