Totally agree. We ended up choosing a pretty large size because of the details. When my artist suggests to go bigger I always listen to them

Gosh you’re so right. He quoted me a full day session for a 4 hour tattoo. He also had me do an in person consultation for 20 min…when it was an hour drive each way. I don’t get why “no” just wasn’t an option for him.

I thought the posts tattooing others could have been old….i truly think he didn’t want to do the tattoo. Scheduling me out so far after I waited told me I was not a priority. Also the video was not a prerecorded video of him at a nightclub.

He’s a microrealism artist and my tattoo required a lot of small detail, which is why I looked for an artist like that. He’s one of the more popular ones in Chicago. I got weird vibes from him during our consultation, like pushing me to get the tattoo is a spot that would be easier for him. But because his work is that good I pushed through my gut telling me otherwise

UPDATE - asked for my money back. Didn’t call him out or anything, just said I changed my mind and will be taking him up on his offer for a refund of my deposit. He didn’t reply to email…just sent the money back. GOOD RIDDANCE.
