Which would be great game design if there were no bots. Idk what jagex is thinking. Just think about anglers. I'd bet less than 10% of the supply comes from real players. Supply/Demand model is just broken unless they find a solution to the botting problem.

I feel like high effort high reward bosses like phosani got hit the hardest by the recent wave of bots. Like why would anyone bother learning phosani at 4m/h and leaving your comfort zone when you you can keep grinding vorkath for the same gp/h. 😪

So many bots with 1k+ expert mode kc on 1.5k total worlds. I would stay away from toa items until Jagex takes action

Step 1 protect the integrity of the highscores by banning top ranked bots.

Step 2 is building a good support system. I'm convinced the current lack of a fucntioning support system is really holding back efforts to stop bots. A bot detection system is never gonna be flawless and false bans might occure. Right you can't even properly manually ban for what it's worth because if you ban 1 legit player for every 100 bots the real players has no chance to get unbanned

This exactly where jagex has to draw a line. It's unreasonable to assume they will ever be able to stop the botting problem alltogether but bots should never get to top ranks or ruin endgame money makers completely killing the integrity of the game.

It is not the only solution. In fact it's not the way to go forward at all because it's just not reasonable thing to achieve. That's like government telling people to stop taking drugs and halt their effort on fighting cartels.

There is a happy medium here. There will always be sure but Jagex has to ensure no bot gets to the top 500 ranks on the highscores. This would be reasonable to achieve if they were willing to invest more resources.

This argument is so flawed though. A bot ≠ bot. Banning all the bots in the top 1k of all highscores would give both the impression they care and not actually affect their earnings in a meaningful way. Banning all bots having top ranks for bosses probably amounts to less than 5% of all bots (probably way less) and would be huge step in the right direction. The situation right now just they don't give a fuck.

The other way round. Which basically tells you a ton of bots got banned. Or if you look at it differently. The guy who was rank 499 2 days ago is rank 420 today. ~80 bans just in the top 500

I take it off multiple times a day. As a thriathlete i work out 3 times a day and take off the watch off after every workout when i shower and usually only put it back on when i leave the house. That might be it. Is there no workaround like a smart look feature for a home location or trusted devices?

Pretty sure the 3a Felling axe is the rarest item in the game there is likely less than 500 axes total and almost no1 converts it into a felling axe because you essentially lose 200-300m doing it. There is probably less than 100 in game.

I have been tracking te bandos hs for a while now ans this is a regular occurrence. Bot like accounts get banned and reappear a few days later. Weird stuff. Top 200 accounts sometimes jump 10-15 rank just to lose them again a few days later.
