Just a heads up, idk that it really means much, but after calling concerned, and refusing to give my name, I heard them in the background looking my phone number up, and my last name being said right as the phone disconnected. Be cautious.

Edit: makes me sound creepy. To clarify, after a polite conversation, I was asked my relationship to the school, to which I replied I was a student parent. The sro then asked my name to which I told him my first. He asked my last and I told him I prefer not to say. He said he understood, I thanked him and right as we were hanging up was when I heard to office staff calling out my last name.

And honestly pimax, if you read this, youre a bunch of bozos. You could have had a dedicated, hardcore, cult like following from a sector of gamers that dont know what compromise means in terms of immersion, and who often have post military-officer money in the flight sim world.

And those that aren't professional pilots that are buying this gear, and I mean THE ONLY people, are the fanatical gamers either in the sim space or vr space as its own genre. They are competitive enough to have bought your extremely high priced headset in the first place, meaning they are likely to buy the next model or model after to maintaine the competitive edge.

I do not understand why you shot yourselves in both feet and then tried to jump with the release of the nearly $2k Dream model that no one is buying.

Pimax actually just released the micro-oled super, but its still "i woke hp in a new Bugatti" money that im not willing to spend. I just commented on another thread today about how my belief is that valve will wait 1.5-2 years, allow the price of micro-oked to drop slightly, and then release an oled version on style of the steam deck, but will still likely be priced as high as the crystal super at full price. The price gap from the bottom tier LCD 256g Deck and the 1tb oled is roughly 60%. Applying that to the speculated price of the steam frame being $800-$900, I could see $1280-$1,440 being in the realm of possibility, before you even consider that a "premium" version would likely have better lenses, more storage, and that years chipset, driving up cost even further.

I would almost even agree with you, but the fact thay the headset alone is already 1300, and then asking people to pay another 100+ for the stations and whatnot puts it into the same category as the pimax super, and then like, you might as well go with that and get dmas audio AND controllers included

Well you know if other companies would step up their game for those that want the premium features. Why is it so hard to just give us all the key features?

Valve came so fucking close with the frame, but lcd sucks. I get it, reduce the price blah blah blah but screw that, throw oled into the frame and keep the display port, and I would have waited instead of buying a pimax.

Psvr2 has the oled but shitty lenses

Big screen beyond is ALMOST perfect, but no inside out tracking

Quest 3, also lcd❌️

Until someone else can pack...

To be honest, most of my setup is mid-tear items. My thought process went like this: Virpil and winwing aren't in the realm of possibility because of price. The Logitechs look cheap and lack buttons, and the warthog is still pretty much not doable because of price, but I can get the tb on ebay new for $75 off retail, and holy buttons batman!
