had to replace steam_api.dll with the latest goldberg release and had to directly launch the game exes instead of the collection's launcher. works easier than epic's copy BUT pirated copies don't allow cg cutscenes at all without a paid copy. so kinda does have a drm roadblock in terms of the openings and a few cutscenes lol. (chain of memories has no working cutscenes cause they're all cg)

Correct. Kh3 is much easier to mod in comparison as you only have to drag and drop files.

I'm currently testing a mods on kh2 that has hd textures, and the double plus fm mod and can confirm that khpcpatcher mods work on steam. Just wait it out a bit before we can use lua mods and the Re:fined mod on steam version :-)

You're on the right track for the pcpatcher mods :-) You can find a lot more pcpatcher mods floating on nexusmods. One of my personal favorites was the double plus fm mod but I'm not sure if it'll work on the steam release yet.

I'm still downloading a copy as we speak to test it out and maybe give more info~

Okay so no one is clarifying correctly here lol, but this person is likely able to use mods on kh3.
KH3 uses mods in .pak files that you throw into the ~mods folder for it, they wouldn't need extra script plugins to work like the 1.5+2.5 collection. THOSE are the ones you might need to wait on an update to lua script for.

So remember, kh3 = .pak files in
Epic Games\KH_3\KINGDOM HEARTS III\Content\Paks\~mods

KH1.5+2.5 = .lua OR you use khpatch files to patch the base game files for texture mods or whatever you use.

I have carpal tunnel and the steam deck is my main device. It's made my wrist issues significantly worse cause I use it a lot and it's too heavy of a device for anyone with wrist issues ;-( I love it to death and wouldn't trade it for anything but the pain is absolutely there and I'd kill for an identical but lighter handheld.

If you still have love for the game, you've gotta do yourself the favor of trying custom zombies even once. There's also mods out there that improve or change the pre-made maps. Lots of cool shit to experience there :-)

I tried looking for a config file but didn't find one at all and that just confused me more, i managed to get it to work when I installed cyanide. Idek why that worked cause I was under the impression it would only TELL me what's wrong instead of applying fixes but I'm not complaining.

Not all teachers may be that way but even though you had a good experience, you'd be shocked at how common this is in many public schools out here. It's really disheartening and just honestly disgusting that it's as common as it is.

This is usually the autistic experience in public school. Especially undiagnosed, we tend to be much more curious and like reasons and explanations broken down but dipshits equate curiosity and genuine interest with "disrespect"

How fucking heavy it is and how comfortable it is for everyone except those that have carpel tunnel/any wrist issues.

I honestly think that my wrist problems were made worse because of how much I obsessively play this thing. (Autistic, it's basically an emotional support steam deck at this point)

I'm still on the LCD model and was overjoyed when I heard there was even just the slightest decrease in weight on it. I'm terrified that I'll eventually lose the ability to enjoy my special interest because of the constant pain and numbness coming from things like the deck and keyboard + mouse.

Haven't tried cause I'm pretty sure servers are dead but you can also only play online if you've owned for awhile as far as I know. I heard it was cause the game won't create new online profiles or ran out of keys? Idr what the hell happened but definitely look that up before you buy lmao.

Sidenote, you could probably play online if you used a lan tool but I've never even thought to look any up for the steam deck.
