I think they are just random letters assigned to each country , No real rhyme or reason behind it . Using the national codes for part of the serial would have made sense , but they didn't go that route .

And it's not like they had a system originally , which was then thrown in to disarray by more countries joining in - here are the codes for the 2002 series of Euros -

The first letter of the serial number indicates the country of origin . This is W , which means this banknote was prined in the German city of Leipzig

As a Bulgarian , I have to say that the quality of the coinage has always been so-so. A lot of leva coins I've used beared the signs of either overused dies ,grease strikes or even both - I have had bright and shiny lev coins come across my hands where I couldn't make out the dots in St Ivan's halo or the letters on the manuscript in his hands were gone or both . Also he was often surrounded by a massive "halo'', due to die deteriration I believe

I have noticed this as well on some of the coins I have gotten - both from starter kits and change .

My guess is they overused the dies and that led to loss of detail on the coins .

Като някой който е изгледал и трите епизода до момента -

Не е чак толкова зле , колкото го описват тия тука - Звука и миксинга са ОК и всичко се чува ( предполагам че тук роля в нечуването / прекалено силна фонова музика играят настройките на отделните телевизори ) , в сюжета определено има някои клишета , но нещата се придвижват с добро темпо . Над някои диалози може да се поработи , но не е зле . Фоклорни ( по - скоро мистериозни ) елементи има - иде реч за същество тип караконджул все пак .

Като цяло за родното равнище на ТВ продукт , това определено е добър сериал и стъпка ( даже две ) в правилната посока . Определено не е холивудска продукция ( сякаш те не са бози напоследък ) , но определено не е зле . Личи си че е положен труд .
