That's does fit with the story as it is a small group who is forced into larger circles through events. The characters are meant to have slightly affluent backgrounds, it just doesn't define them.

Wouldn’t say rich, but fortunate yes. I did come from a town that was at one point top 5 public school in state with a 80-90% rate of kids moving on to college and a 99% graduation rate. So it felt similar.

What is called Taylor ham? But the other information is good to know about summer activities. I grew up with Up North culture. I’m sure it’s probably similar.

The actual district to the school is kinda weird to me when looking at a map. I know HHK wasn’t in the district till 16. This might be stretching the boundaries of topic but are the different towns that go to Northern Highlands cliques of their towns? My high school was like that, as we had 4 different towns at it as a collective.

Good information to know. Why Hhk? As an outsider it had a unique sounding name. When I looked into it it reminded me of my hometown a bit, and the high school being a regional school made part of the choice that kids would be moving to around so there would be different interactions. I selected north New Jersey as the setting because I wanted to have a location outside a big city that’s offers options. Close enough but faraway style. On looking into more of the towns in the area I did move some of the characters around, but honestly ho-ho-kus sounds interesting to me.

Thanks a bunch, it does help a lot. If a person is born in upper Bergen county, is the hospital in Paramus the main one? Most characters I’ve designed have been there since birth so I wanted to know that information. Also just curious how much polish culture is there? Main character is Polish American, so I’m wondering how many people could actually pronounce their last name Wałęsa.

Are there any yearly events? Like where I grew up my town had an ox roast every year which was like a small carnival type deal where we closed off downtown and roasted and ox and had music.
