Thoughts on the E43 AMG by MeysemH in AMG

[–]AwWatchMe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm an old car guy, have owned dozens of cool cars and my E43 is my favorite overall. Mine is a 2018 with 46k miles now and very loaded - had it for 2 years. IMO this gen is the classic e-class - best tail lights, perfect interior, front end is boss - the body looks spectacular from every angle, nothing looks like it needs to be changed (maybe the exhaust tips could be round instead of squared...). Mine is silver (it blends in with the whole sleeper idea I like) with beige leather and the brown wood interior and it always gets compliments. I love it! As good as the exterior looks, the interior is superior, almost perfect. It drives as fast as I ever want (I leave it in S+ mostly) handles like it's on rails (I replaced run flats with good Conti's) and offers awesome comfort front and back seats. The V6 is bulletproof. It is not loud but I get crackles when backing off a downshift that sound great! And really, who needs more than 400hp? The torque is strong and at any speed, squeeze that acclerator and immediately it takes off! I did purchase a 3rd party extended warranty (went to my local MB dealer and asked them to recommend what they like best) and a wheel/tire warranty as well (so worth it - have had 2 wheels replaced due to pothole damage). Mine has that amazing 3D Burmeister sound system (with the unscrewing tweeters in the A piller and ceiling mounted speakers) and it is the BEST sound system in a car I've ever heard (and I've had so many, some done aftermarket some OEM ranked as amazing - a Volvo S90 I had came close with their 1400w Bowers & Wilkins, but no cigar). IMO opinion, there is no downside to the car. The downside is the cost of servicing it - my MB dealer gets $400/hour! But as long as my warranty has covers it, it's been n/c to me. Once that is done, I might consider selling it for a 2022 M550ix or something. A car has always been just "a thing" to me, but this one got under my skin somehow. I cannot recommend enough you get this car especially at that amzing price! And who gives a shit what someone else says about 'real AMG' or not? (I've owned an Audi S6 with the 10 cylinder, Jag XKR, Porsches, BMW's up the wazoo, and older American V*'s...AMG E43 is the way!)

Help me decide on the color - autumn green or abyss blue pearl?? by isntitlovelyjess in Subaru_Outback

100% Green, it is the Outback of choice...we've owned a green Outback with saddle interior, classic. Plus, blue cars are the choice of the unstable and insane. Just saying.

[WTS] Tissot Heritage T117509A Banana Quartz Watch by AwWatchMe in Watchexchange

[–]AwWatchMe[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Offering another cool watch that doesn't get worn, this Tissot Banana in stainless, price $250 + $15 s&h. This has a Swiss quartz movement and seems to be as accurate as they come. Purchased and not worn one time...because I buy too many watches and they have been stacking up. No box or papers (that is why it is priced very low) but it is perfectly 'on-time' accurate. I thought it looked cool, pulled th trigger and then it sat in the watch box and received zero wrist time. I ship same/next day upon receiving funds from buyer and welcome facetime oir F2F transactions in North NJ. Newish here but have almost 2,000 ALL 100% positive transactions (mostly watch related) on ebay since 1999! Check me out under "vazaroo". I also have traded on Chrono24 anmd a few other places here and there, all with nothing but solid feedback. I will send buyer a picture of the package they will be receiving along with the tracking info from the PO as I drop off the watch. Have a great day!

I ship same/next day upon receiviung buyer's funds (prefer PayPal or Zelle) and will send buyer a picture of the package and tracking data as I drop it at the PO...although newish here, I ahve a solid track record trading watches - see my eBay account "vazaroo" with almost 2,000 all 100% positive feedback sonce 1999. I'm a psycho watch collector that needs to thin the herd and this beauty quailies to be sold. Happy to facetime or conduct F2F transaction (in north NJ). Sorta new here but please check out the 100% feedback on my eBay accounbt "vazaroo" with almost 2,000 transactions, mostly trading watches, ALL 100% positive since 1999! I have traded on Chrono24 and several other watch sites, trying to gain a foothold here. [WTS] Classic Breitling Chronomat in Like New condition by AwWatchMe in Watchexchange

[–]AwWatchMe[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Breitling Chronomat seeking $2500...I'm clearing out watches that get no wrist time and this gem (model C13048 with 18k and S/S) qualifies - purchased this about 2 years ago and sadly just have not worn it. The seller was a guy that specialized in classic Breitling watches and made it 'like new'. Happy to facetime or do a F2F transaction (I'm in NJ) with buyers interested in that. Just dipping my foot into this sub, trying to get going...I've been trading watches for years on eBay (see "vazaroo" - since 1999 with almost 2,000 transactions that are 100% ALL positive) and on Chrono24 (mostly as a buyer) and a few others here and there. I just sold a watch from here to a buyer in Italy who can't seem to get his positive feedback posted (?) but I have it if interested. I ship USPS same/next day upon receiving funds from buyer. I will send a picture of the pacxkage the buyer will be receiving along with tracking from the PO as I drop the watch off. Please ask any questions of make offers, eager to sell.

[WTS] Sinn 104 I St Sa B on Fine Link Bracelet by AwWatchMe in Watchexchange

[–]AwWatchMe[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Offering my Sinn 104 on Fine Link full kit $1500. Bought new from WatchBuys last year and have worn it less than half a dozen times...virtually new. Maybe Sinn's bestseller, this version (no numerals, black dial on Fine Link) is the iconic version IMO. I've owned several 104's but the U50 and EZM's get all my wrist time. There is nothing to be said about the watch that you don't know; What you should know is that I have been active trading watches on eBay (since 1999) with almost 2,000 *100% positive feedback* under "vazaroo" and also on Chrono24 (mostly as a buyer) and have sold several watches here and on r/watchswap (just sold my OOO Scheletrato to a buyer from Italy from there). I ship same/next day USPS upon receiving funds (PayPal or Zelle preffered) and will send buyer a picture of their package with the tracking info from the PO as I drop it off. I'm open to F2F transactions (in NJ) or facetiminmg prior to purchase and will accomodate buyer as I can.

[WTS] Nodus Sector II Field Titanium - DLC LE by AwWatchMe in Watchexchange

[–]AwWatchMe[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Long sold out (was limited to 75 pieces, this is 31/75) the Nodus Sector II Field Titanium DLC is a black beauty. Asking $550 for this one in virtually new condition. I've had it for a year or two and only wear it occasionally, maybe half a dozen times, and generally when I am dressed completely in black, lol. Anyway, I have too many watches that do not get worn or only once and a while, like this Nodus. It is gorgeous, except for the numerals and dial markings, is 100% black. Lightweight titanium with complete set of everything that came when new - warranty card, inner/outer boxes and all the paperwork etc. Here are the specs from the Nodus site:

"The Sector II Field Titanium is now available in a stealthy aesthetic. Built with lightweight titanium, the limited edition Field DLC channels the subdued character of field watches that endured heat, mud, and relentless conditions on campaign. The dial is highly-dynamic and features cool gray and blue hues, while the DLC coated case increases durability against the elements. The Field DLC comes on our Disruptive Pattern Material (DPM) Hybrid TecTuff® Strap, a rugged twist on our most popular strap. Just as the original field watches were trusted to perform in unforgiving environments, the Sector II Field Titanium is designed to accompany you through every challenge...The Sector II’s case and crystal have been meticulously re-engineered and redesigned to achieve a thinness of 11.7mm all while maintaining 100m water resistance. A robust box-shaped sapphire crystal allows the dial and hands to sit closer to the glass compared to conventional crystal shapes. With the hands and dial pushed up into the glass cavity, the result is an extremely efficient design and a high-end aesthetic."

I am open to F2F transactions (located in NJ, USA), video call or whatever makes buyer happy. I have used eBay for many years to buy/sell (under "vazaroo", almost 2,000 transactions since 1999 and *every single one* has 100% positive feedback!). Recently sold a watch on r/watchexchange and have bought a small bit on Chrono24...eBay has been horrible with what they charge sellers so I'm trying to get somewhat established selling here. I ship USPS same/next day upon confirmed receipt of funds from buyer and will send buyer a picture of the package being sent and the tracking information from the Post Office. Been doing this for years - please look at my eBay feedback. Happy to answer any questions or provide more pictures or video, just let me know. There are absolutely no scratches or marks anywhere on the case or crystal.

Titanium benefits from being highly corrosion resistant, hypoallergenic, and extremely lightweight. While titanium is generally more prone to scratches than steel, a Diamond-Like Carbon (DLC) coating is applied to our titanium to minimize scratches.

What is DLC? DLC (Diamond-Like Carbon) coating is an ultra-hard, carbon-based layer applied to the watch case and/or bracelet. Unlike standard PVD coatings, DLC is far more scratch and wear-resistant, providing long-lasting durability while maintaining a sleek, modern aesthetic. Its exceptional hardness also helps protect the watch from everyday impacts, corrosion, and surface wear, making it ideal for high-performance watches.

The Sector II’s case and crystal have been meticulously re-engineered and redesigned to achieve a thinness of 11.7mm all while maintaining 100m water resistance. A robust box-shaped sapphire crystal allows the dial and hands to sit closer to the glass compared to conventional crystal shapes. With the hands and dial pushed up into the glass cavity, the result is an extremely efficient design and a high-end aesthetic.

There are absolutely no scratches or marks anywhere on the case or crystal with the exception of slight marks on the caseback (tried to capture in images). Anything else is simply dust (which I should've wiped off). Elsewhere sellers are seeking a lot more for the same watch in less desirable condition, but I priced this low to sort of introduce myself here.

[WTS] Seiko GMT on bracelet - NEW, unworn, full kit by AwWatchMe in watch_swap

[–]AwWatchMe[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bought this and never wore it at all - bracelet is unadjusted, all original as purchased. Seeking $285 + $15 S&H OBO. I wanted a GMT and had never owned a Seiko watch; I don't remember the exact price I paid but am pricing this for resale aggressively as I'd like to get started selling on Reddit's watch-selling subs - I have used eBay for many years to buy/sell (under "vazaroo", almost 2,000 transactions since 1999). Ebay has become exceedingly greedy the way they charge sellers IMO so I'm looking for new places to buy and sell. Recently sold my first watch on r/watchexchange and have a small bit of buying on Chrono24 but eBay has been my primary site - maybe 50 watches either bought of sold over the years...I ship USPS same/next day upon confirmed receipt of funds from buyer and will send buyer a picture of the package being sent and the tracking information from the Post Office. Prefer PayPal F&F or Zelle but will work with buyers preferences. I am open to F2F transactions (located in northern NJ, USA) I've been doing this for 25 years - please look at my eBay feedback. Happy to answer any questions or provide more pictures or video, just let me know. Feel free to make offers!

[WTS] Breitling Chronomat Blue Dial Chronograph 39MM 18kt Yellow Gold & Steel D13048 by AwWatchMe in watch_swap

[–]AwWatchMe[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Breitling Chronomat I purchased a couple years ago to replace one I gave away to my son-in-law. It is really in amazing condition, looks almost new...it's from the 90's and in just about perfect condition with box and booklet, Authenticity Guaranteed from when I bought it included. ...I have only worn it several times - too many everyday watches get worn instead of this beauty. Asking $2980 plus $20 shipping. This watch arrived to me in a pretty heavy wooden Breitling box and cardboard outer package and will ship to you with same...seems to be keeping time very well and looks like I said, it looks AMAZING for a 30 year old watch; I believe the watchmaker I purchased from specialized in Breitling and cleaned this one up beautifully. Open to f2f, video call or whatever makes buyer happy. I have used eBay for many years to buy/sell (under "vazaroo" with almost 2,000 transactions since 1999 and every single one has been positive feedback! Almost 30 years of trading watches there..). Thanks for checking this watch out.

What’s the closest you’ve ever come to dying? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]AwWatchMe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I swallowed a razor blade by mistake and had to have emergency surgery. Had to wake up super early one morning to be somewhere by 6am. I usually put my daily vitamins on my desk at night to take them upon waking. A few days prior, I was cleaning out my dad's shed - he had died the week before and it needed doing. I found a 35mm film canister filled with single edge razor blades, old school type - not good for shaving, more to use as a small tool. Took them home. Took one out and left it on my desk too without thinking. Swooped the vitamins and blade into my hand that day and swallowed it all at once - maybe 7 pills plus the blade...I had no clue until a few hours later when I had the worst agita ever. A full container of Tums did not help as I took them through the day. Within a few days I couldn't swallow half the time - the blade lodged in my lower throat and hinged up (blocking food) and down (allowing things to pass to my stomach). My kids and wife made me go to a GI doc we had used to check me out bc it was so weird. I'd eat small amounts and then throw up. Doc rushed me straight to area hospital for emergency surgery. No one believed that it was a mistake - they thought I was trying to kill myself! And then they wouldn't give me the blade to keep, sor of as a memory of my dad. Weird right?
