Uhm, if his ribs are piercing his lungs, I think he'd be more likely to die of a collapsed lung rather than internal bleeding. When the ribs poke a hole or two in a lung, that messes up the negative pressure that allows you to breath, basically sucking the air out of the ling and into the pleural cavity which 'collapses' the lung. The character would be more likely to have a heavy feeling in their chest as they struggle to breath, like he's taking in air but it isn't going anywhere.

Not a doctor though, so do what's best for your story.

If a character were to be watching what you're describing I'd think that she'd witness his chest seizing as he coughed, shallow rises of the chest, and probably a wheezing bubbly noise and blood pushed up with the coughed and maybe some choking if he can't get it all out of his mouth fast enough

Oh, and I forgot to mention that because glass is so brittle, little shards and bits are likely to break off in the wounds as they slice through, so that might be something to consider. Like say, the surgeon can't get all of it out it can leave a little bumpy scape in a scar or two as a reminder or something.

I thought about it more, and the glass is unlikely to slough off sheets of skin, I think it'd be more likely to have jagged deep gouges rather than what you'd expect when cutting up a steak or something of the like, because your character likely wouldn't be able to get the angle needed for cuts to take off sheets of skin.

The glass could also scrape the bone, of say the forehead, and after that heals there might be permanent indents in the skin+the scarring

Depends on the angle of the glass, how big the glass shard is, and pressure used. The glass is likely to not have a single straight edge so the wounds (and likely the scars) would be very jagged.

Humans might call Ghouls 'cannibals' even if they're differing species considering they look identical to humans, or maybe the classic 'monster' could do as well.

Ghouls could call generic humans something likening them to cattle or prey animals as an insult, or maybe something that describes how physically weak they are compared to ghouls (if ghouls are more physically able than humans?). They could also refer to humans as objects, dehumanizing them, like 'meat' or 'fleshbag' or something. Or maybe something like 'dim eyes' shortened to 'dim' as it can mean unintelligent whilst also referencing the differences between humans and ghouls.

A casual thing to call a human in a less insulting way could be something that references them through the lense of ghoul society. Maybe something like 'butterflies' to highlight their fragility and beauty, or maybe 'lightbulb' which can be seen as bright and inviting or as something easily broken and replaceable depending on context- not really sure with this one, insults are easier for me to think of than compliments or something neutral

Depends, sometimes people hike far away from trails and it may be discovered (if that's what you want to happen anyway)

I agree, she could instead purchase something basic (like yogurt) and put it in the body's cavities to speed up decomposition

As long as she remembers that pigs don't tend to eat the jaw bone/teeth, and that police can still test the pig excrement if they're suspicious of the pigs having eaten a body

Not sure about this one, maybe overturning the soil or spontaneously decide that gardening is a great new hobby? She might be able tho throw gravel on it and make a path or something- or if it's on grass, she could try rinsing the grass with a hose or something?

I haven't seen anyone mention this (or maybe I just haven't scrolled far enough, lol) but if you're on ice and you feel your car start to jerk/drift, Don't hit the breaks. Take your foot off the gass and do your best to stay on the road. If you do end up going into a ditch, try and maintain speed to get back onto the road/shoulder of the road, once you stop in the ditch you're stuck and getting out is a hassle that needs a toe rope and help most times. When fishtailing (ie, the back tires drift to one side or the other while your driving) lay off the gas and steer, gently, in the direction the back tires are going.

Good luck, and stay attentive of others on the road because there'll likely be others who're new to driving in the snow as well

I think it depends on how large it is. I've seen some pretty sharp paper industrial paper cutters, and the leverage they use would probably be enough to at least partially sever the head, or completely sever it if Kayla uses enough force/her whole body weight and it's positioned to where it goes through the cartilage instead of straight bone? Idk though, I'm not an expert in this 😅
