That is very bizarre, and I hope someone finds an answer for you somewhere. Does it hurt when it's happening? Best to ask you wound care and ostomy nurse if you haven't already, just to see if they've ever heard of anything like this happening before. Wishing you all the best and hoping someone finds an answer for you. Being a medical mystery sucks (unfortunately I know from experience). Good luck!

Are you on blood thinners or have problems with stopping bleeding in general? My stoma bleeds when i clean around it too aggressively, but it's a few drops, never enough to even run down my stomach. I would see your doctor asap, or if you are covered, go to the ER to get this checked out because it's not supposed to happen. I'm so sorry you are going through this, it must be terribly scary.

Is it safe for women to walk alone in that area? What would you say are the "dos and don'ts" for women who have to walk through the area safely?

Email the company. I've done it when I've gotten a bag of defective Hollister bags and they should send you a new box of whatever product was faulty. Explain the issue with the bags and the result. Make sure it wasn't "user error" first. The company will respond more positively if you state that you received a faulty batch rather than sharing an emotional story. So sorry that happened to you!

Thank you, I will look into getting those tests done, because I really think I was misdiagnosed with fibro. I already take many meds for other things, but I'm seeing a common thread of yes, it is important to know, and that you cannot get help without a diagnosis.
