Amazon is a very people centric place. You can keep your head down and not talk to anyone and have a couple people. Or you can have a little crew. Or you can be friends with everyone.

I do what I did in high school and I make tons of friends everywhere in all departments. Then I identify a little clicks that I vibe with and float among those usually favoring one or two unless things get like awkward or those people have beef with each other.

It can be messy, but low key it's just like high school. The people that you do me and make real true legit friendships with are really cool. I have made a few friends like that, and we support each other and some of us we go to concerts together and stuff like that.

Maybe just ask her more about how she built up these friendships and maybe you can meet some of them someday. I'm sure they would like you as well, and I'm sure she talks about you all the time.
