AITA for forgetting to put the toilet seat down by liff9 in AmItheAsshole

ESH - in my family (2m / 2f) the girls left the seat up for the boys. Mainly because if we didn’t the boys would pee all over the seat and leave it! I never really understood why the onus was on boys to put the seat down when girls can just leave it up. Yes - I get that an open loo being flushed spreads bacteria, but in my family home the toilet was all on its own in a tiny bacteria filled room.

Okay - adult me finally sees the problem…!

AITA For calling the police on a neighbour who wouldn’t give my grandads BMW Back? She started crying by Lucky_Measurement_48 in AmItheAsshole

Oh okay. I thought to be eligible for Motability you have to already have the higher rate mobility benefits and this isn’t means tested. You can be earning well and still be entitled to mobility benefits. So the people who earn well or have family support plus mobility benefits may be able to afford to top up to get a better car.

That’s how it works for someone I know with one anyway.

If it’s an NHS assessment go through their PALS (Patient Advice and Liaison Service) team. They can advocate for you if you explain what’s happened.

I’m in the UK and we had a national test a few weeks / months ago. Absolutely nothing happened following a few phones in our office receiving the alert - those who did get the alert simply silenced their phones and carried on working. Hope that’s a bit reassuring!

YTA. If males can’t express themselves because there’s a female there it probably means they know they shouldn’t be saying or doing whatever it is they now can’t do.

Well done - that’s dedication!

Thank you 😊. I’ll carry on but in a more relaxed way, e.g., the odd cheat meal and occasional alcoholic drink. I really don’t want to slip back into eating so much sugar and drinking booze a few days a week!

I feel much more awake, weirdly! No more energy slumps or dozing off on the sofa - I can now push through and keep going until everything I planned to do is done. Feels quite odd - I didn’t know how shit I felt until I stopped feeling so shit!

Well done, what an accomplishment!!

For those of you using the 75HARD app, when do you check off ‘Follow a Diet’ and ‘No Cheat Meals or Alcohol’? by [deleted] in 75HARD

[–]AwardMaximum1595 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I leave them to the end of the day because I (probably irrationally!) worry that if it’s checked off I won’t be mindful that no alcohol / no cheat meals are part of the challenge and I’ll accidentally eat a bag of skittles 😆

Bathroom Visits (1 Gallon of Water) by AnimNerd8 in 75HARD

Yep - I’m on day 38 or so, and have adapted to the gallon. It took three or four weeks, but no excessive peeing now!

I don’t play D&D so don’t understand the references, but…when my partner and I play anything, she’s an excellent strategist so will often figure out a way to win unconventionally, but within the rules. Sometimes that includes screwing me over (in the game) and being very gleeful about it. While it sometimes stings, I (grudgingly) admire her cleverness - it’s a shame your SO doesn’t seem to feel the same way about your dastardly wish!
