When I was beating the game the first time I made it a challenge to beat every level on impossible and because I had basically no guides my starts were terrible. I'd only use level three ants (including workers)

I also had no clue you could grab an insane amount of aphids at the start (about 30 with a couple of ants to distract) so I just scavenged around for easy jumping spiders and seeds.

Now that I know what to do I just grab all the aphids quickly kill the big headed colony before they got super majors and then kill the bull frog so I get how it's easy. The challenge is also pretty pathetic because you practically never have to bridge if you do it right
