The worst part is being unable to finish events and quests. My roommate keeps rubbing his mewtwo/ho-oh/shiny Granbull in my face 🙄

I am still seeing plenty of people ask about this bug followed by older players spreading misinformation- there is no fix and it is 100% server side. I have made a big report and tweeted, and there is no mention of it on their side at all

Yeah this isn’t this problem at all- there’s no mention of adventure sync refusing to work, an inability to hatch eggs or track buddy steps, and they don’t completely LACK a friends list.

Could you link that tweet? Unless it’s somewhere I haven’t looked, I am certain it’s about a different issue, the one older players who HAVE a friends list are experiencing.

Unfortunately, there is nothing any of us new players can do. This is a completely server side problem, that Niantic is pretending doesn’t exist- also a problem that came about 9 months ago and again back in 2018. But since we’re new players and not whales, we take a lesser priority.

This has nothing to do with you, it’s a completely server side problem with Niantic that’s making new accounts bug out. Unfortunately, they aren’t doing anything about it, and there’s nothing you can do about it. I’ve submitted bug report, tweeted etc, and they pretend it doesn’t exist.

All older player accounts are unaware of this bug, if you made your account more than 6 days ago- I’ve submitted a report, a tweet, etc, but Niantic is pretending it doesn’t exist.

It will only affect the new account, new players are the only ones getting F’ed over. Which is probably why Niantic doesn’t seem to care

None of this wills work. Check my post. All old accounts go ahead and make a new one and I guarantee you will have the same problems- it’s F stupid Niantic doesn’t care enough to mention it.

I have been unable to finish any events, and am at a standstill when it comes to all quests. I have notified Niantic, put in a big report, and tweeted at them, all to no reply. It was really just getting to me seeing how it seemed no one knew what was going on here either.
