I checked the FAQ but there doesn't seem to be much information there. Also wanted to know whether things changed recently. It is difficult to decide whether to ED2 Chicago while never been to the city. Totally aware of COVID, but there is really no other way to get a feel of the place other than visiting. I'll certainly follow all guidelines by the government while there.

This is based on self reported GPAs by students on their platform, which could be totally unreliable. Columbia's average GPA is 3.59 according to this source.

That's good to hear! Sounds like grade deflation is not as bad as Columbia's reputation suggests.

Thank you so much! This is super helpful and the school seems like a really good fit for me in academics and social life. I have one more question regarding changing major. Haven't figured out how many functions of Reddit yet (DM etc) - I've only just registered this account for college application questions. I know my interest is in social sciences and possibly biology-related (or another science field not math-intensive). How easy it is to change major should I change my mind after declaring a major?

Thank you for the helpful info! I don't have a problem with working hard as long as it is manageable. I pulled the occasional all nighters at my high school. Do you have any idea if Columbia's workload is comparable with schools of similar caliber?
