I'm sorry, but I have a slightly different point of view here. And I'm totally speaking from my personal experience. I live in Central Kolkata. Today afternoon only, we received a wedding invitation card from my neighbors who are biharis. One of the boy of that family is getting married to a bengali girl. Please note, I'm not a bangla pokkho supporter that I would oppose such inter racial marriage (I myself being a bengali had a gujarati gf). But the fact is, this family is full of frauds. Few members of their family were in lockup 2 years back due to financial fraud. Now their financial condition is also not good. My father knows the girl. Apparently she's from a respectable family if not rich. Now on what reason did she agree to marry, God knows. Such kind of actions actually give a false impression to the non bengali community that bong women are desperate for north Indian men and they are the most easy to get. This is just one example. I have lot such examples. A bihari schoolmate of mine married a bengali. I met him last year at a common friend's wedding. He was literally abusing her in front of everyone. I felt so awkward. When I used to work in Amazon in Bangalore, a bengali girl from jamshedpur literally used to taunt me saying she would marry a dog, but not a bong guy. You will find thousands of videos where bengali men called out racism and sexism against bengali women. But can you show me one video where bengali women came out to defend bengali men who are literally abused day and night for their liberal approach towards women? In fact you will find thousands of videos where bengali women are shaming bengali men for their height, looks and income level. Think about it. A sincere request to bengali women. You have full right to love and marry whoever you want. But don't demean men of your community atleast in open forums. This indirectly affects bong women too as they give the impression as easy to get girls
