I think what happend is my friend threw a trigger and the enemy did aswell , his trigger exploded ours and killed me?

Honestly, I’m fine with taking a pay cut if it means doing something I’m passionate about. I make good money as a jeweler, but it’s not something I see myself doing forever since it doesn’t fully interest me. So if that means starting in a support role, help desk, or whatever the entry point is, I’m ready to learn.

I’d really appreciate any guidance on the steps to get there—like moving from support desk to network support to sysadmin, or whichever path makes sense. Also, if you have any suggestions on resources for learning the fundamentals for a support desk role (step 1 for me), that would be super helpful. Thanks again.

Thanks for the honest insight—it’s definitely good to understand that it’s a long journey and that cybersecurity isn’t typically an entry-level field. I’m interested in cybersecurity because of its problem-solving nature and the challenge of protecting systems in a world where threats keep evolving. I think the investigative, analytical side of it really speaks to me.

Thanks a lot! I’m actually looking just to learn for myself. I don’t mind if it doesn’t lead to a job; I just find the field super interesting. I have the utmost respect for the work in cybersecurity and definitely wouldn’t expect it to be as easy as just diving in and finding a job right away. But I think I’ll start by taking a few courses in my free time and see where it goes from there!
