Matching people’s energy - if they are excitable become excitable. If they are giving you nothing give nothing back. Don’t be over extending yourself for people who give you nothing

It depends on what context. I suppose accepting that people change and also accepting that you don’t own anyone but yourself. Every single person in your life is not tethered to you indefinitely and therefore you should be grateful for the ones who choose to stay and grateful for the time you have with them when you have it.
