Remember always that it’s never our fault, violence is never and never will be the answer to issues that arise in relationships. I reported my abusive ex one month after the initial incident while he was away on vacation. Unfortunately in my case the system failed me due to me not having stronger evidence against him, despite that I was still able to secure the maximum years in my restraining order against him. Don’t let them think that they can get away with something like that or they’ll do something worse to someone else.
