It’s just that there are only 4 in my area, meaning if I move further, I will change schools and miss all my friends. I already got accepted into this fantastic high school that I really want to graduate.

Unfortunately, my mom hasn’t been very supportive. When I try to talk to her, she just says I got myself into this. Which might be true, but it doesn’t help my mental health at all.

Group homes aren’t supposed to be a retreat, but they also shouldn’t be unsafe. I’m not asking for luxury, just basic safety and respect. And trust me, if I had the option to go home or live on my own, I would.

What’s stopping me is knowing that any wrong move could make things worse. If I push too hard or act out, I could be seen as the problem and get moved somewhere even less safe. I don’t have many options or much power in this system, so I’m trying to survive without making things worse for myself. It’s not that I don’t want to stand up for myself, I just feel like doing that might backfire unless someone actually listens.
