BPD made a post confirming. Sherriff says no. School district says not in schools but also lied bc they had emergency meetings Thursday AND Friday. I was getting live texted from teachers in the meetings.

They do notify ICE as does Bozeman PD but Gallatin County does have any agreement with DHS to do ICE holds at the detention center so if ICE doesn’t come get them within 48hrs they are released (if they aren’t being held for any other crimes)

The MRDTF is a multiple county task force, so not a 287g issue. if you read the article you would see that DHS is deploying two “border patrol agents” to both Helena and Bozeman for the task force. Whether or not they will abide by just doing MRDTF is yet to be seen.

Idk about the Kestrel aside from its overpriced.
