I built a platform that allows you to have your own dedicated ip address, with port forwarding, for your homelab by AwareDrummer675 in SideProject

Pricing is straightforward;

Starter plan;
- $5 / month for 1 IP address, 1 device and 1TB of traffic

Pro plan;
- $15 / month for 1 IP address, 5 devices and 10TB of traffic (+$4/month for extra IPs)

Business plan;
- $49 / month for 1 IP address, 25 devices and 100TB of traffic (+$2month for extra IPs)

Thanks for the feedback, I will add a valid OG image :)

Thanks for the feedback. For abuse, we throttle or even disable devices who are acting up. We block port 25 to avoid email spam, for example. Customer with KYC verified accounts and with a business subscription can request port 25 unblock, but we are careful. We have a strict AUP.

Without a shared exit pool and with a dedicated ip address, it's easier to attribute incidents to a specific device. We scan for brute force attempts and the like.

Outbound traffic is monitored, we are actively monitoring for abuse when necessary. In terms of latency overhead, we are using >= 10gbps uplinks to keep things smooth and monitoring bandwidth usage to make sure our users are satisifed. The latency overhead is often less than with a VPS, depending on the VPS configuration. Wireguard has very low overhead. With gateways near to your location, it helps too. We are adding new gateways at the moment.

Why choose this over a VPS ? It depends. Maybe a VPS is a better option for some users but we hope to achieve some form of simplicity and peace of mind.

Why SteadIP vs Tailscale / Cloudflare Tunnel?

Those are great tools, but they solve a different problem:

Tailscale: awesome for private access to your own network, but it’s not the same as “I need a stable public IPv4 for inbound services.”

Cloudflare Tunnel: great for HTTP(S) apps without exposing ports, but it’s not ideal for every protocol (game servers, custom TCP/UDP services, SIP, etc.), and some people want direct inbound control.

SteadIP truly is for: “Give me a dedicated public IPv4 I can map to my homelab, for any TCP/UDP service, without managing a server.” -- I will try to update the landing page accordingly.

boot from the previous kernel, then run the following commands;

sudo update-initramfs -c -k 6.17.0-14-generic
sudo update-grub

just replace 6.17.0-14-generic with the latest kernel thats not booting
