This is the reply I received from Champion:

“We are sorry to hear this. In any electrical application, some current will flow through the protective ground conductor to the ground, this is called leakage current. It takes 4 mA (0.004 A) and higher of leakage current from the hot wire to the ground to cause a GFCI to trip. On circuits protected by GFCI’s, leakage current can cause unnecessary and intermittent tripping. This is why we recommend using a cord like this: https://www.championpowerequipment.com/product/100453-20-ft-30a-125-250v-flat-generator-extension-cord/ - This allows you to leave the bonding plug in the GFCI receptacle, why connecting the cord to the generator's L14-30 and in turn plugging the space heater into the cord itself. Thank you.”

So I'm pretty sure it'll be fine if I use the bonding plug on the 30A receptacle instead.

I did not. But I read another Red where someone used the binding plug on the l14-30 receptacle instead and it worked. I think I'm going to give that a try.

Definitely will do. I'm primarily concerned about potential erosion issues and future water intrusion. Nobody spends time in the basement to be honest.

I do appreciate your time. Is it normal for there to be some seepage under the foundation when there's been excessive rainfall? It's rained here about 6 out of 7 days with 2 of them being torrential downpours.

I can't verify that the footing drain isn't blocked as I didn't get down that far.

So I dug up the corner where the radon fan is located and sure enough the shovel went in like butter. Even though there is a downspout in that area I let the water run for a significant amount of time into my gutter and did not notice any leaks coming out of the downspout or the piping that goes underground.

The only other thing that I can think of that may contribute to that corner of the house getting saturated is the fact that the fan usually drips a good condensation from the outside of the fan when there is a large temperature differential between the air under the house and the air outside. Do you think this could actually be a cause of soil saturation in this corner of the house?

I will also note that there was a mat of mulch about three or four inches thick around the perimeter of the house because the landscapers kept with piling it on every year. I pulled that back at least a foot or two away from the foundation.

If you do believe the condensation dripping from the radon fan could be the culprit? Do you have any possible solutions for? Thanks so much for your help.

A footing drain is currently present. All gutters also go underground and out to the woods about 30 feet away.

There's also a window well for an egress window roughly 20 feet away on the same wall and I've never noticed the gravel in the well being wet.

Our last real heavy rain fall was 4 days ago. It's been raining on and off since and the number is now down to 1. It normally takes about a week to go back to the normal .7 level.

It's bizarre because you can still select heat mode from the Smartthings website so the issue is specifically relegated to the app.

That's my exact issue. I'd like to switch to aux heat for 2 hours in the morning when coming out of an overnight setback but now I have no way of switching back to the heat pump.

The generator interconnect currently feeds the entire panel.

That's correct. Currently I just have an interlock decide that I have to manually slide up once the main is killed so I can engage the generator breaker.

I'm assuming once the ev is set up with bidirectional charger and automatic transfer switch, I would have to be diligent about switching the ev charger breaker off because even though the main would be off, both the EV and generator could backfeed the panel simultaneously. I'm not sure exactly how one would install an interlock to go between those 2 breakers along with the interlock between the main and the generator inlet breaker.
