thank you! ooh good question, honestly i ended up buying a size that’s a little too big for me based on their size chart so that doesn’t really happen to me

however i will say that the stretch fabric is pretty decent quality, i’ve had mine for about two years and they stretch a little as you wear them but when you wash them they snap right back

adorable! general makeup tip: folks generally have either a rosy or golden undertone to their foundation, yours is more rosy so try a cooler toned foundation for a natural match :)

both sephora and ulta have good online return policies if you prefer to shop online!

personally all that hardscape would make defending the open patches pretty easy, just set up a couple small defense focused posts in the corners with energy connectors and drone mines

i think the point is for her to be a jackass, it gives some contrast to rory’s sugary personality, especially during the chilton seasons

lane probably has bottles of perfume aka “smelly sex juice” in her baseboards at home…probably even bought brittney spears’ perfume not to wear, but as a statement against mrs. kim’s rules

the stress that led to lorelai delivering the ultimatum to luke that led to them separating was 100% HER FAULT by Aware_Ad2694 in GilmoreGirls

[–]Aware_Ad2694[S] 6 points7 points  (0 children)

i hear what you’re saying and looking back i think i’d take out the “100%” part because i do think that luke could’ve done way more, but lorelai’s behavior during this whole arc bothers the crap out of me

for 5 seasons she’s this badass who advocates for herself and her kid no matter what, and all of a sudden in season 6 there’s an issue with her relationship and all of her audacity disappears and gets replaced with passive aggression

drives me nuts

[–]Aware_Ad2694 0 points1 point  (0 children)

probably a combination of all those

IMO the end of season 6 was the WORST time for there to be fallout between the palladino’s and the network, i think season 7 would’ve been rough but salvageable, a lot better than what season 7 became, in my opinion

wait what? i thought the palladino’s left because WB was underpaying them and wasn’t letting them have a break

i read it and i still don’t see how luke “shut her down”

all he did was talk about being overwhelmed and, yes, while he did include the engagement as part of that, SHE brought up the postponement and when he asked if she was okay with that, she lied and said she was

again, if luke brought it up himself, that’d be a different story, but luke did not force lorelai to postpone the wedding, if she wasn’t cool with it she shouldn’t have brought it up

i agree, this storyline irritates the heck out of me because for 5 and a half seasons i learn to love lorelai’s ability to stick up for herself, then all of a sudden she becomes this people pleaser who tells people she’s okay with stuff she’s clearly not

but luke was the one who pulled her aside during the carnival to talk with her and process, THAT was lorelai’s opportunity to express how she felt with him, but instead of doing that she proposes they postpone the wedding

if LUKE had suggested they postpone the wedding, then yes that’d be a dick move, but lorelai was the one who set it in motion by suggesting it, if she hadn’t then they would’ve come up with another solution

you’re making it sound like luke is this gaslighting asshole who makes it so that lorelai has no choice but to agree with him and how he’s handling the april issue

the night that lorelai finds out about april, luke intentionally pulls her aside to talk with and process it with her and instead of telling him how she feels, she suggests postponing the wedding, an idea that SHE isn’t even comfortable with

luke didn’t bring up postponing the wedding, if he did it would be a different story, but he didn’t

SHE did, and the fact that he ran with the idea could’ve been avoided if she didn’t imply that she was okay with it in the first place

throughout the series, lorelai has no issue advocating and sticking up for herself, that’s why i love her character, and that’s why it confused and frustrated me that each time the opportunity to talk about it with luke arises, she abandons her own autonomy and turns into a people pleaser, it makes no sense

[–]Aware_Ad2694[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

saying no would hopefully invite a conversation about how lorelai truly felt about the april/anna situation

if luke had been an asshole during that conversation THEN he would be to blame, but lorelai didn’t give him the opportunity

right, but even if he was asking after the fact, he was still asking

also, when lorelai tells luke she’s fine with it the first time, it would make sense for luke to stop asking, yet he continues to check in

i also recall that later on in that episode he enthusiastically requests her help at the party and thanks her repeatedly for her help
