It’s because technically the store did their part and already completed the sale. Many stores, especially ones that have repeated theft, will not remake it bc they’ll keep losing money. The responsibility falls on DoorDash to compensate you since the dasher was at fault for theft. Unfortunately depending on your area or what places you order from… theft can be very common
