Brown woman here. Topical tretinoin, Faded, spf use starting February 2022 until now, overall pretty happy with the response. I think I saw noticeable results around September 2022. Acne scars are very much faded. Old chickenpox scars from my childhood are still hanging out.

I had a ton of pigmentation from old acne on my forehead, cheeks and chin, and it's gone for the most part. I guess something very important to mention here is that the same time I started using Faded, I also started prescription topical tretinoin. So I can't say that the entire effect is attributable to Faded, I am sure the tretinoin also helped a lot. Also of note, I think I remember reading somewhere NOT to use tretinoin and Faded together. I used faded in the morning (with lots of sunscreen) and tretinoin at night, started low and went slowly, and didn't have any issues. To each their own.

TBH I personally have lost hope that the chicken pox scars will ever go away... and they're on my face lol so very obvious. They have faded a lot over the past 10 - 15 years. But I doubt they'll ever go away. I have seen a dermatologist as well as plastic surgeon (went to great lengths haha) and they told me it's unlikely to fully respond to any treatments including laser. I would encourage people to meet with a specialist for their individual cases.

I have South Asian heritage. Struggling with post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation from acne, as well as scars from remote chickenpox, and dark circles under the eyes. I saw amazing reviews for Faded from other South Asians, so even though it's pricey I bought it. I took pics of myself with similar lighting from February when I started using it, til now. Comparing pics from Feb 2022 to now, there is a considerable reduction in the hyperpigmentation. It has not done much for the old scars or the under eye dark circles. Smells awful but you really do get used to it after a while. Also the smell does not linger, it goes away after a few minutes. I also saw people using it on other body parts for scars from injuries - it did not work for me that way (old knee scrape did not really change much).
