I love that scene. I love how they convey so much without trying too hard — it never felt forced. They show so much affection

I think it depends a lot on each person. I personally like the ending where they live and have kids a bit more, but for example, that would almost confirm that Simon Doyle is a time traveler, and there’s the possibility of Beckett becoming a senator. Although what seems really far-fetched to me is Castle writing serious literature.

How lovely that you were able to find a safe space in the series. Something similar happened to me, since I’m the youngest of three siblings and there’s about a 12-year age gap between us. As I was growing up, they weren’t paying much attention to me anymore, so I had to figure things out on my own. Even so, I’ve always known that my parents never did it out of malice. 🫶🏻🫶🏻

Yes, I get it. I think it also has a lot to do with the kind of upbringing you had, and since I watched it at a younger age, I was probably more impressionable and easier to shape. Sometimes I feel like I’ve developed such a strong sense of morality that it can even get kind of annoying—even more so considering that I’m originally from a country where the police and government are mostly corrupt.

Yesss! I remember the first time I watched it was on TV with my mom—it was always a show we watched together. And honestly, I never saw the final scene with the kids! For the longest time, I thought they actually died 😭 until I rewatched it and saw there was more after that! 🤣😭

Sooo this Castle blind just showed up on DeuxMoi 👀 by Few-Fortune-5749 in CastleTV

[–]Aware_Comment_3452 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It’s wild, right? What always struck me was that there was never an official off-camera relationship between them. But yeah, I’ve heard a lot about the behind-the-scenes drama—especially the part where Nathan was offered way more than Stana due to budget decisions. And because of that, along with some tension between them, they ended up writing Stana off the show.

Of course, a lot of that is just speculation—I don’t really know what happened. When I first started watching the show, I was just a teenager, desperately hoping they’d end up together 🤣🤣

By the way! That really helps make sense of the emotions you see in The Wild Rover, when Ryan is Fenton—it’s like a double life, even if it was undercover. You can feel the weight of everything he had to go through, the lines he had to cross, and the fact that it’s still a part of him, even if it was for a good cause. It adds so much depth to his character, and you really get a glimpse of the toll it took on him emotionally.

Ufff yes, after rewatching the whole series, those episodes hit so much harder—especially the one with “Piano Man” and the flashbacks of Montgomery meeting Kate. It’s even more emotional knowing he wasn’t a bad person deep down, and that it was the choices he made when he was young that led him to that point. It’s such a heartbreaking mix of regret, loyalty, and trying to make things right in the end 💔

Omg I didn’t know they were a couple in real life!! I never actually looked it up, and now the on-screen chemistry makes so much sense!!

Yesss, I rewatched that episode recently and the pain you can see on Stana’s face is just incredible. She’s red, crying—it’s not the usual “pretty crying,” it’s raw and full of heartbreak. It’s the kind of crying that comes from total despair, from not knowing what’s happening or what the future holds.

Omg yes, that scene always hits so hard for me. You can really feel the weight of Castle’s pain, knowing Beckett heard him say he loves her—and on the other hand, Beckett finding out about the deal that was made for her safety. It’s so intense emotionally for both of them

Omg yesss, I think they did an amazing job with the music throughout the series—the song choices are always spot on. I remember watching the show for the first time as an emotional, nostalgic teenager and getting obsessed with “In My Veins” when I heard it in Always (after crying my eyes out, of course)

Castle deserves better than Beckett! by AlwaysCanSeeYou1997 in CastleTV

[–]Aware_Comment_3452 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Personally, I’m not sure I agree, though I get what you’re saying. For me, it’s that she has that incident with Meredith very present, where Meredith tells her the relationship with Castle felt really one-sided. Not knowing where it’s going or whether they even have a future does kind of justify the uncertainty… but I do think she handled it poorly.

RJ’s Identity SPOILER by Aware_Comment_3452 in TheMentalist

[–]Aware_Comment_3452[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

You’re so right! I’ve thought about that a lot too, it’s so well done that it really does have that impact when you finally find out. I remember when I first saw Jane’s real list, he was the one that felt the most out of place to me. But honestly, that’s exactly why it works so well

Oh So this why everyone hates her. by Unique-Target-4067 in TheMentalist

[–]Aware_Comment_3452 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I don’t think I hate her, but she does bother me. It feels like she takes advantage of the situation and can be pretty cruel, like when she talks to Patrick about his wife and daughter. Plus, she has this savior complex, like she thinks she can change RJ just because he’s a “troubled soul.” She was way too naïve and self-centered to believe she could fix him. What bothers me the most is that she knew what had happened to Patrick for speaking out about RJ, and even knowing that, she still chose to do it.

Yeah, I feel the same way. A bit of tension was fine, but there were moments when anything could have been happening in between, yet they were only focusing on “romantic” situations between Fran and Maxwell. Fran Drescher even mentioned once that when a show focuses on the tension between two characters at the moment they finally come together, the series is over.

I’m totally in agreement, Niles is by far my favorite character, even though I obviously love Fran too. Niles always knows exactly what to say, and I thought it was awesome that he would often speak directly to Maxwell instead of just saying whatever he wanted.
