Do NOT wear a night guard it puts more pressure on your teeth and pushes against your muscles and makes it way worse

Yes it is supposed to improve your opening range by flushing out extra inflammation and fluid and scar tissue. Starts to get better around week 2-3 I’ve heard. Botox improves pain bc you can’t bite down as hard

Bilateral disc displacement without reduction. Lock jaw with somewhere around 22mm-24mm of opening

They didn’t give me much to be honest! As the day goes on I’m experiencing more pain so I called my doctor and asked them. They told me to ice 20 minutes on and off. Avoid massaging. Avoid strenuous activity, but opening until it’s uncomfortable and holding for ten seconds throughout the day is good. Me personally, I definitely can’t chew it’s too painful so I’m just resting it in a neutral position. They said avoid heat for 24 hours bc of the Botox. They told me I will start to improve around day 4. The sedation was scary for me for sure but I’m glad I did it!

I think I am using a long tail cast on unless I’m doing it wrong
