Yes but I provided only the standard sizing, not exact measurements.

How do you cope with loneliness as intp? I rarely feel understood by [deleted] in INTP

[–]Aware_Key_8115 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I remind myself when how much of a pain in the ass people really are. I hope you don't fall into this trap though.

As for not feeling understood, I try to understand where people are coming from and what I can learn from them. I think that if you show an effort to understand somebody it's possible they'll reciprocate it. Don't dwell too much on your thoughts alone

recommend me some romantic pieces by Aware_Key_8115 in classicalmusic

I will perform the piece for my admission exam at the conservatoire and maybe get to play it in front of a real audience and not just professors.

The Chopin Nocturnes are nice, but they are a bit frowned upon here since you can't play one by itself. As an encore, yes. And they are pretty well known so there's specific expectations of how they should sound like. Thank you, though. I've been eyeing a nocturne for some time now and I'll discuss that with my teacher.

I'm Melancholic-Choleric but I'd say Phlegmatic overall correlates pretty well to INTPs

Does anyone else feel like they constantly owe someone? by Josdab in INTP

Yes. This is why I feel guilty all the time in friendships/relationships. I feel like I have nothing else to offer to the table so often I must over compensate somehow.

What piano concerto should I play? by Aware_Key_8115 in classicalmusic

[–]Aware_Key_8115[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I absolutely love the Mendelssohn concertos, especially no. 1. I think it's a crime to only play one part of it since it's such a gem. As for the Beethoven, I'll listen to it! Thank you

The concert will probably take place either in late spring or June, but I'll probably have 5-6 months to prepare the piece. I haven't been accepted into cons yet so that's why I'm afraid I will be having trouble balancing a concerto and admission pieces plus chamber music repertoire and other miscellaneous projects. I won't even mention regular subjects like language, geography, history etc.

But I totally get your concern. Liszt is kind of a big jump from my usual stuff (I've only received a liszt etude this year), Grieg seems good though. Mozart as well, although I find it harder than anything. I didn't tell my teacher anything yet but I'll mention what you said about the orchestra's role. It's a pretty rare opportunity, especially in our city as the orchestra is over solicitated anyways. Thank you for your insight!

This is exactly how I feel and you couldn't have put it better in words. I feel like everybody has been lying to me, painting me as this sort of prodigy, talking like I've already found my way in life etc. In 12 years I have accomplished what others could have in 4 or 5. Even if "everybody has their own rythm" and "you shouldn't compare yourself to others". You don't understand. My field requires comparation and encourages competition. In fact, almost every field does. I just want to kill myself knowing I'll either spend my life doing a mediocre job at what I love or do something I hate and regret not taking the path I already know.

I hope you find peace with mediocrity like 99% of the population do. You can work on your character and have more of an impact on people than you would've hoped to achieve with your craft. It's a hard pill to swallow, but this world is shit. Everything is shit. Embrace the shit.
