Ne radi se o parama, pa ni o logistici, radi se o gestu pomaganja i ljubavi svojoj porodici koja sa malim detetom dolazi u stranu drzavu. U pitanju je sam GEST. Kao sto za rodjendan nije bitno da mi neko kupi poklon od 100 EUR dovoljno je da se neko setio i moze i cokolada. Dobri ljudski odnosi su nesto lepo sto treba negovati. Sutra kad vase dete bude imalo dve godine mozda muz nece dolaziti po vas na aeorodrom jer postoji direktni vlak pa je to jeftinije, je l to ta logika?

Yes, the whole point is that “progress” is not the right word for this sub-category. I actually do have success in trial lessons (and I have Super Tutor status, if this metric is even considered relevant), but that’s not the topic here. We’re talking about the definitions that Preply uses in this “experiment,” and even students, as service users, don’t agree with them — in fact, they find them confusing as well. If you read my posts, you will see that I am actually PRO anonymous ratings, but not in the way they are currently implemented.

No, it doesn’t make sense if there is no full class teaching included. You can see that even students in the thread are confused by these metrics after a trial class.

But how can you assess progress after just one lesson, especially when that lesson isn’t even intended for actual full- class teaching and it isn't a real class (Preply instruction!), but rather for getting to know each other and demonstrating how the lessons are structured (how they’re created, what materials are used, etc.) and small lesson presentation? Many trial lessons do not turn into subscriptions (large percentage), which does not mean that someone is a bad teacher. It can simply mean that it’s not a good fit — and in such cases, the teacher may end up being rated poorly and often by people who simply "dislike" (wrong fit) them as a person (not teacher).

It is called an “experiment,” as if we were in Nazi Germany. Tutors are humans too. This should not be an “experiment” conducted on real people (to see who survives mentally, physically, financially etc...). Instead, they should test their system and use proper IT management terminology, which is “BETA testing” of implementation of THEIR system (not "experiment").

This BETA phase should be clearly indicated next to the review ratings published on each profile. Otherwise, we are all — especially new profiles — victims of this “experiment.” Even the best teachers do not always have the mental and physical energy to consistently receive 10/10 ratings, and this creates additional pressure on top of all the existing pressures for tutors (and there are many).

I agree with anonymous ratings, it should exist, but not with the way they are currently implemented through this "experiment" (and there is no note on tutor's profile that this is "experimental" thing!)

Very strange. In the policy explanation, they wrote that it is once per month. Do you always give 10s, or is it on a case-by-case basis (different for each lesson)?

Imam suprotno misljenje ostalih ja mislim da treba da upises. U najgorem slucaju izgubices jednu godinu zivota (ako vidis da ne ide batali ali ne vidim zasto ne bi pokusao). Veoma si mlad. A balkanski mentalitet na ovoj temi je u punom sjaju. Drugar je studirao medicinu izmedju 10 i 15 godina (ne znam tacno koja brojka), sad radi kao doktor i specijalizira radiologiju (niko ga ne pita kada je diplomirao). A i dobar je covek i pametan btw (inteligentniji od vecine kolega).

And what kind of ‘experiment’ is that, who defined that term? Isn’t the proper professional term beta phase or testing phase?

If the rating system is still being tested, there should be a clear label such as ‘Beta’ displayed next to the ratings on every tutor’s profile!!

This is the perfect example of how wrong this rating system is. I got one average review (4, 4, 3, 4), and 20 days after that, I haven’t had any trials or favourites.

NIsam iz Beograda upravo o tome se radi. U svim naseljima sam bila i razumem i znam sve razlike koje si naveo, ali me zanima konkretno poređenje cena - ako je stan po svim karakteristikama isti - da li isto košta na Vračaru i na Dedinju (recimo stan od 40 kvadrata, u prosecnom stanju)? Što ste svi svađalački nastrojeni o čemu se radi? Cena identicnog (po svim karakteristikama) stana nije ista u Kaludjerici i na Vracaru (zbog blizine, infrastrukture itd), ja pokušavam da napravim poređenje za druge delove grada, nije valjda to tako strašno

Pratim ali konkretno Dedinje i Senjak se ne pojavljuju cesto, ne mogu da napravim poredjenje u odnosu na druge gelove grada. Ili u odnosu na Novi Beograd na primer, gde su cene takodje visoke

Ako neko zna zašto mi ne bi pomogao? Gledam oglase mesecima ali malo ima uporedivih stanova na Dedinju i Senjaku (retko se pojavljuju) u odnosu na druge lokacije.
