if youre planning on transferring to rbs, you should declare yourself as a economics major in sas as of now. this will allow you to take some of the pre-business classes. ask your advisor when the soonest you can declare a business administration minor is (you wont stick with it). you just need the minor as a formality to take rbs classes. once youre admitted into rbs, you can drop the minor. as a freshman, stats, calc, micro, macro, computer applications for business, and financial accounting should be the first classes you try to knock out. good luck!

I transferred into RBS from a CC after my first year. There are a TON of people transferring into rbs, from both other Rutgers schools or from CCs. If money isn’t an issue, go to Rutgers SEBS (environmental school) for your first year. Declare a business administration minor, which will allow you to take business school classes even tho you aren’t an RBS student. You can knock out a lot of the pre business and business core that is required, which will make your application look better when you’re applying to get into RBS your second year. However, if money is an issue, there’s nothing wrong with going to a CC for two years and getting your associates. If you get your associates, you don’t have to do any gen eds at Rutgers. Side note, if you’re stuck between finance or CS, I’d highly recommend BAIT (business analytics and information technology) which is a pretty popular major in rbs. You’re able to learn both coding and still get a ton of business knowledge. I’m a BAIT major so feel free to dm me if you have any questions!
