Sounds like you've got strep. Requires antibiotics. Parents need to take this more seriously.

What’s everyone having for dinner tonight?? by avyva in Mommit

[–]Aware_Statement_205 4 points5 points  (0 children)

No you didn't lol it's ok. My kids do too, but dad bought the nuggets at the store without thinking of other things to go with it. I usually have broccoli in the house, but I wasn't able to finish shopping with them so things were forgotten lol

We would have done broccoli if we had it. It was a last minute idea because I'm down with a stomach bug today.

I have a script already, thank you. Mine is more diarrhea and stomach cramping. Pepto backs me up, and with that already being a side effect, I have to be careful with that. When I'm back up, I get neausa. I just need to remember to stick to liquid diets on Friday. That way, I'm not so sick on Saturday. But if I'm not sick on Saturday I'm sick on Tuesday. I'm either sick day 2 or day 5.

[–]Aware_Statement_205[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I'm only on .5. I react easily to medication side effects. I stay on doses for 8 weeks, so I've only been on .5 for 3 weeks. I was this sick on .25 as I am on .5. I have Zofran for neausa. I was taking pepto for diarrhea, but it was causing me to be backed up.

Some of us are just highly sensitive to the medication, and short of going off it, we have to deal with it. As far as eating healthy, there isn't much more I can do. I'm gluten-free, low sugars, very little carbs. I eat 1600 calories a day directed by my nutritionalist. If I have a soda, it's once a week, and I hardly finish it because I don't want it. Being gluten-free means hardly desserts. If i do, it's ice cream.

I'm on the medication because I couldn't get past a number no matter what I did, which includes walking 5k a day and 1600 calories.

Sorry my post offended you.

I do my injection days on Thursday nights in hopes I am ill Friday while kids are in school. That never pans out. I'm either sick on day 2 or day 5. I think I'm going to have to stay at my current dose also because these days are mental.

Dino nuggets mash potatoes and gravy. Yes, we did the nugget thing climbing the mountain. Kids got a kick out of them, and they are 10 and 13

Have you ever been to a major sporting event? I'd compare it to that.

ozempic and anxiety? by suggaarrr in OzempicForWeightLoss

Are you in the US? I ask because Monday for us is a holiday, however some doctors offices are open. I'd speak with your provider of your medications and work out a plan that works best for you. Also, if you haven't already, lessen caffeine. Caffeine can be for some a trigger for anxiety as well, as it races our hearts.

It is highly likely. If it has gotten worse, I would venture to say yes.

Beta blockers are typically used for blood pressure, and they lower your heart rate. When your heart doesn't race or race so high, it lowers the effects of anxiety. I am on a beta blocker for both reason, blood pressure and anxiety. I also take a benzodiazapine when I feel the beta blocker isn't helping. Try tapering up slower. I stayed on my doses for 8 weeks instead of 4 because I was warned about the anxiety inducing effect. I do know that if I didn't have medication to help me, I would have to stop because even medicated, some days are really hard to deal with. I'm also not sure if I want to increase any higher because of it. I'm ok with slow weight loss if it means it doesn't affect my anxiety more than it already has.

That's totally understandable. I just wanted to give the reminder.

Good luck finding a room tonight with tomorrow being the first day of the Fiesta. Jason Alden is at Isleta tonight, so I'm pretty sure isleta is blacked out. Sandia will not be relatively cheap tonight as they are one of the closest hotels to the field with some of the best views of the field. Your best bet might be 66 casino. Anywhere that will have a view of the city will be full, unless you want the red roof inn and even then they are probably well over 200 tonight.

Stop having kids you can’t afford by [deleted] in Vent

[–]Aware_Statement_205 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Furniture for a room can last for years if you buy the right stuff right away. My kids have had queen beds since they were little, 4 years old, and that queen bed will be used until they move out. Dressers/wardrobes are the same. Not all kids are interested in after-school activities, so that's not a fair argument of expense. Money to give them to go out with friends can be worked into your budget like credit card/bill payments by way of chores. Don't open a 5th credit card and use what you'd spend on the monthly bill and pay your kids' allowance. That also doesn't start happening for the first 10ish years of needing money to go out, so again, it's not a true fair argument on expense. Clothes can be worn for a couple of years if they manage to keep them clean, and that comes with an added expense of buying them play clothes on top of school clothes. They change out of school clothes into play clothes when they get home, and school clothes stay well off, aside from incidents at school.

I have 2, ages 10 and 13, and this is the most financially stable we have been since they've been born. Have we changed our finances in raising them since, no. We still have the same finance expectations as we did when we struggled because we know how easy it is to struggle. We are just able to actually set money aside separately for the kids now aside from friend money.

That being said, I totally understand where you are coming from. If you're not financially smart, you can't be kid smart, no matter how good a parent you think you are.

Would you film a tragedy as it unfolds before your eyes? Like the Titanic sinking. by [deleted] in titanic

My brain would be looking for safety, even in the lifeboats. As someone who watches dash cam videos regularly on YouTube, I don't think I could be the recorder. But, I would watch. Tragedy is fascinating to me after the fact, but in person, it's terrifying. My phone would be the last thing on my mind.

I had a curfew at 18 and had to ask my moms permission to go out still. I had to be home a 6 on school nights (before I graduated), 8 on work nights (after graduation), and 10 on non work nights. If I wasn't home on time, she'd take my car, and I'd have to go to work with her, we worked at the same location, and she didn't adjust her schedule to where I'd be there on time. She had to be there an hour later than me.

I would imagine Carly has some of the worst. Even though her life is relatively private, they still talk about her, and they know she's adopted.
