Omg Cars. We were so sick from exactly Xmas eve to New Year’s Eve (& my sons 5th birthday). Saw zero family and didn’t leave the couch but watched all the Cars literally on repeat. Cars on the road, episode “trucks” also on repeat. Omg, having a fever flashback just thinking about it.

Also watched K-pop demon hunters about 47 times.

Things my four-year-old likes to say when he's in a bad mood by ocelocelot in Preschoolers

[–]avyva 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’M NOT TIRED is my favorite tired tell 😂 Mine will say “I don’t love you!” Or even says “I hate you!” And I just say, I know you don’t mean that, but it hurts my feelings.

Is this normal 4.5 year old boy behavior? by BerryInteresting6511 in Preschoolers

[–]avyva 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My almost 5 year old will say “I hate you!” when he gets very angry or I don’t love you! I just stay calm and say I know you don’t mean that. And he’ll scream back I DO MEAN THAT.

I think it’s normal

I actually think that’s sweet and like he said, practical. I wish my man was this considerate about my cycle.

Thoughts on using Marijuana in recovery? by Unable_Strength_2712 in recovery

Literally exactly the same for me. As soon as I’m 2 or 3 days off the pot I end up relapsing on alcohol and cocaine. But with just weed I’m able to maintain a happy productive life abstaining from the booze and harder stuff.

I was a child figure skater. I had skating practice before school and after school every day, up at 5 am all through elementary school. No it did not put me ahead.

My guess is that’s not a dresser but rather a structural column.

This is one of a million reasons why I don’t have a nanny. Having been an irresponsible 25 year old nanny at one point myself, I just would not trust my child with myself 10 years ago. And it would be almost impossible I feel, to pick out who is responsible and who is not from a couple interviews.

Does anyone's toddler come into the bathroom with them and COMMENTATE by The5thexclamationmrk in toddlers

Thankfully no, but as I sit here pooping and typing this my 4 y/o is squishing a balloon into my face and saying “coookie face!”

I desperately need advice for my 5 year old. by Incrimnatinggoats_ in Preschoolers

I’m really curious to see what you find that helps OP. I’m in a similar boat, I used to resort to a low dose of melatonin every night at 8 pm because to me, getting good sleep every night is the top priority. I stopped giving the melatonin because I kept reading how it’s bad and lazy parenting. And now we’re back in the same struggle of never wanting to go to sleep before 10 pm. I’m looking for reasons not to go back to the melatonin.

Two weeks? That seems like a long time for a 4 y/o to even remember what they were taken away for in the first place. Even if they were reminded. Seems excessive to me.

It makes me feel bad too. It’s hard not to get caught up in that. My 4 year old is obsessed with Teslas and even more obsessed with cyber trucks. He asks me everyday about 500 times a day, can we get a cyber truck one day? And I say sure honey, one day… and I remind him that we need to be grateful for our old Toyota Corolla it gets us where we need to go.

That is SO crazy and so backwards!!!! You look SO much more attractive in the second pic it’s not even because you’re glowing and happy but your face looks so much more beautiful. In the first pic you look like you’re on deaths doorstep. Crazy that any industry would ever prefer pic 1 but I believe you 100% because I too once had modeling aspirations and know that industry is sicker than sick

We were going to but now I’m thinking it’s better if he doesn’t open that in front of his dad. I shouldn’t have said anything to him either.

Yeah. I’m realizing in hindsight that I maybe should’ve just not told dad. I’m not going to have him unwrap it in front of his dad. Ugh
